  1. So I am 4 months out. I'm still taking in between 500 and 700 calories per day. I'm sure someone's going to go off on me about it but I'm truly scared to up my calories in fear of stopping losing. I'd like some feedback on not only how many calories others would recommend, but also how to up the calories without gaining. I'm not hungry and don't feel I need more calories, however I have heard enough on here to know that it could screw up my maintenance and I don't wanna do that. I just want to keep losing weight and be able to keep it off. Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App

    Calories

Thank you. I do use my fitness pal every day and log everything. Once I looked on my paper, it says for 4 to 6 months to stay at 600 calories, so I'm def doing that. I do track my protein and stay a little lower then goal but not a lot . Thanks for your response! Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App

    Calories

Thanks for your responses. Yes, I could probably email the nutritionist but haven't ever done so. My Protein goal is 60 grams per day and honestly I am usually a little low, but not significantly. Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App

    Calories

I appreciate you asking because I don't have much access to them, as I did it in Mexico. However, I looked back in an old email and it tells me calorie recommendations from beginning until the first year. Really good news, I'm totally fine! It says not to move up to 900 calories per day until 9 months out. I feel so much better! I just felt like I've seen so many people in here talk about eating so much more, that I thought I was doing something wrong. I'm glad I don't need to worry. Thank you for your help! Embrace the Stall

I have done really well so far, down 80 lbs in 4 months, weighing 210 which is smaller than I've been in a very long time. It's so crazy how we just expect to lose even tho it's obvious that bodies need to heal. I think I'm also pmsing which always makes me stall. I just constantly worry I'm doing something wrong whenever I'm not losing. Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App
  13. I've been stalled for 6 days, I'm supposed to start tomorrow.. I'm actually hoping for my period to drop the weight! I've been stalled, plus gained 2 lbs! Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App

    Embrace the Stall

I agree. That is why I have found it so very useful to reframe stalls as something normal, natural, and necessary to the process.I've been really trying to just say ok, no big deal, and I've done ok with it. I can still feel the thoughts and anxiety lingering around all day still. Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App

    Alcohol Addiction

I really wish you'd check into a detox or get the librium and have your roommates dispense that to you instead. It is very tricky to try and do what you're doing. I am here. Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App

    Alcohol Addiction

Hey, Go to your doctor, or the hospital and get some librium. This will help with the withdrawals. Please don't listen to your friend. It is very dangerous to try to do this on your own. There are programs that can help you. Pm me if you would like, and I can walk you through it. Thanks for sharing and I hope you get some help. It's out there, I promise. 17. I've only been in a stall about a week. I had started eating nuts every day as a snack. Not sure if that's the reason for the stall but I decided to cut them out to see if it'll help. Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App

Which Food Did (Or Will) You Miss the Most?

The rice is really just a filler anyway, which we certainly don't need anymore! Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App

    Embrace the Stall

Stalling is such a killer. It takes me back to every single time I've dieted or lost weight. I see that I'm not losing right now, and want to give up. It's ridiculous how our minds work. I've done incredibly well so far and I just need to stay on track. It's hard when the scale either doesn't move or it goes up! Typically, it's the last thing to happen before I'd gain my weight back. Which Food Did (Or Will) You Miss the Most?

Sashimi (just the fish) is good to go. Sushi has the rice.I'm literally having sushi right now, eating a Protein roll and it has no rice. Just get rolls with no rice and mostly just fish. They have soy wraps and cucumber wraps too. Sushi is good cuz it's all Ala Cart so it's perfect for our small meals Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App

    Truth

I had 10 day Protein shakes and could have a salad at night. I cheated 1 time in the beginning. You can do it. After day 3, it's seriously so much better. Also, if you could eat a hard boiled egg or salad in the past, you wouldn't be where you are today either.. none of us would. You can definitely do this and in my experience, it made me feel more confident in my abilities to do it after surgery. Good luck!! Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App

Almonds are fine, but you have to be conscientious about how many you have. Plus the concentrated fat may make some people dump. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App I typically split a serving between 2 Snacks (28 almonds total). Is that too many do you think? Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App
