I started in February. It has taken 6 months to meet all the requirements of my insurance. Should be sleeved late June or early July. I was very disappointed having to wait so long, however the journey with all the appointments have taught me a lot. It has also taught me patience and to get my brain properly prepared. It goes by pretty fast. Good luck to you and keep us posted.

Insurance just approved me and I got a surgery date of May 24! I am in Boise. Dr. Koran is doing mine! I would love to have a support group. I haven't gone to any of the group meetings yet.
Dr. Korn is doing the surgery.

My doc doesnt do any preop diet except the day before surgery. They used to up to a year ago.They found patients were having surgery and starting out malnourished. Since they quit the pre op diet the nutritionist said patients do much better. We will see. Surgery probably last of june or july.

Wow any surgery I have ever had made me bring cpap to the hospital. They wouldn't do mine either without it. Interesting!!!

First surgery is 7:30-8:30 and I have to be there at 5:30 and its an hour away so thats good because I will probably be up all night the night before. Lol

@@betterme38 My birthday is on the 12th!!! Going to see Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood tomorrow night (the 8th). Gonna have to stay away from the beer!

I don't have a date yet, however my last appointment will be in June. I'm getting conflicting information from the surgeons office and the insurance company. The surgeons office says that my insurance company requires 3 consecutive months with them for weight documentation, my insurance company says that is not their requirement. That is the last thing that I have to do. I'll be talking to the surgeon about this when I go in on April 20th. I don't want to waste time. I want my surgery NOW!

Welcome Qwalla. Im from WV so I not anywhere close to Boise. The pre op liquid diet I guess depends on the doctor. I have seen anywhere from 10 days to just 1 day. He said mine would be 3 days.

Mine should be in july. Last Dr. appt. mid june then off for approval. I will have completed everything else. Anyone here have Dr. Valentine in Boise? Wondering how long the pre op liquid diet is. Very excited to start my journey!!!

Hi there - I live in Boise and had the sleeve surgery back in June. I am sure it'll go great, just remember to sip that Water afterward and move around as much as you can to work out any gas. You got this!
