I just booked a trip tonight to the South of France in July for my daughter and I...her birthdays present, my present to me for hitting goal. We both win on this one, and I finally get to travel to France with someone who actually speaks the language! Most important is the mom-daughter time before she leaves for college the next year.

In the whirlwind that is life, ups downs and inbetweens, TODAY I celebrate one thing and one thing only: me. I hit my goal today. Unfreakingbelievable.

Thanks guys!!! Such a journey isn't it?? A year ago I was prepping for my first visit... @Babbs 8 lbs which is 140-- but now thinking it may be possible to get where I "lived" most of my pre-gain life which falls somewhere around 128. I've been as low as 120 and frankly look sickly that low.

Love me some nice looking boots!
A few years ago I went to Rome, and wanted to buy Italian boots. I drug my then boyfriend all over Rome in search of boots that would fit over my calves. At about my 20th store, some poor boot sales guy finally was able to (with might and braun) get the zipper up over my calves. Laughing now...

Leaving on a jet plane for a quick trip next week... Decided to buy a new something to wear, and damn. Every store so far the dresses I fit are Smalls. To reward myself for this amazing accomplishment, I just HAD to buy a beautiful pair of chocolate brown suede high heeled boots....I better find a second and third job to cover this clothing habit I SWORE I'd never fall victim to...

Well. I did it. I mean I REALLY DID IT!!! Hot Chocolate 15k here in Chicago today. Had two buddies from HS at my side, as we cajoled and dragged each other to the finish line. An amazing feeling, really was!!! I could see this becoming addictive. There is one in Atlanta in January. Hmmmmm. But seriously. If I can, anyone can!!!

Life is being lived!!!! Finding myself off line more and more because of it. Finding a purpose for yourself ( not talking about raising a family, etc) is not only enlightening, but exhilarating! Would love nothing more than to scream it from the rooftops.

My week keeps getting better and better... Made some major decisions, changes and travel plans AND tomorrow I'm packing up the two dogs ( 110 lb Goldendoodle and 15 lb bichipoo!!) for an ambush visit to my son at the University of Iowa!!! He misses the Goldendoodle... And tolerates the little guy. Either way, all three of them are going to be excited and surprised!!!!

@LipstickLady Lmao Tell me! My oldest went off this fall as well. (Go Hawkeyes!). Two high schoolers left--- it's going to be a parade of college trips every year for the next few years. Too hard! But, we feed and water them, then they do the damndest thing- they grow!!
