I'd like to think nothing... And then I look at the sheer volume of Moleskins and markers, and pencils and crap....in a duffle bag I drag around when needed. And the Pinterest posts on BJ'ing, and the washi tape.... Damn. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Suit - Sport Coat

The Goodwill idea is solid. I see your user name says Chicago... Have you gone to suits 20/20 in Niles? You can pick up a couple nice pieces there very reasonably and the tailor there is wonderful. Get my boys suits there...Tiglio Luxe for 1/3 of the price and if you buy right, you can get them altered down a few sizes. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  6. @@LipstickLady.... You should really consider another hobby... "no judgement" Sent from Dee~Dee via BariatricPal Seems to me like you want others to talk about it so you feel better about what you did.. But me having something off plan PRE op is a whole lot different than you trying to rip your stomach open by eating chicken breast n salad when it hasn't healed yet and you're still on liquids.. Thats your choice it would scare me Munky Sooooo..... Did anyone ever have the, "what happens when you ASSUME things" talk with you???.. might just want to review it before you make public posts. Just a thought. Sent from Dee~Dee via BariatricPal Wait. What was it you were saying about ASSuming? This is why I wished the previous poster good luck with the hunger thing. YOU might want to review it before you make public posts. http://www.bariatricpal.com/topic/381323-hmmm/ Unless you have some type of healthcare degree.... As I do... Im not going to entertain you further.... Move on. Sent from Dee~Dee via BariatricPal I do!!! Like a real, live in paper degree! Eight plus years worth of it!!!! From a real university! And guess what? @@LipstickLady has NEVER given out medical advise, she has ONLY spoken of her OWN experience and people like you do nothing but flame and cause issues. So, if this is how YOU treat any actual patients in your care, with this negative, nasty attitude, please let me know where you practice so I make certain I do not refer anyone your way going forward. I believe it is time for YOU to move along. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Rny? Or sleeve?

I wasn't a candidate for the sleeve due to other health factors, bit if I did have a choice, would have still chosen bypass RNY. LOVE the accountability of it, GERD resolution and weight loss. If I'd had sleeve, don't know if I would have been as successful. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  11. Can't answer for the poster you referenced, but docs aren't going to take you off antidepressants for surgery. Celebrex is an anti inflammatory drug and can impact the lining of the stomach.... Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Drinking after eating

The 30 min rule BEFORE eating is suspect... Some require it, others do not. I'm allowed to drink up until I take my first bite of food. I don't think it is a hard and fast rule.... But that's just MY OPINION...so drop the weapons peeps Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App I put a greeting card flat over the top of the cup to remind me not to drink out of it during that time. VSG Post Op Day 5

VSG is a more difficult surgery to recover from than bypass.... There's a greater surface area to heal. You need to be super careful!!! As for incisional pain-- unless it is showing any classic signs of inflammation- bleeding, pus, heat ( I'm not including pain, swelling and redness for a reason...you are healing so those will be present) remember that your tissue was cut in to. You will also experience the sensation of nerve regeneration as part of the healing process, so sharp, quick pains are also normal as the nerve fibers try to reconnect themselves. 19. That was the thing I cared about the most... Prior to losing the weight, I would walk past a mirror or other reflection and not realize I was looking at myself. People I knew well didn't recognize me at all. It was horrid. Thankfully, it was the first feature to return. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Feel like such a failure...

I agree. Verbal and emotional abuse are horrid. Fact. Don't deal with it, demand changes from him or change your address yourself. There is no such thing as being "stuck" even though you may feel like it. Make a plan for yourself, VALUE yourself, and follow through. There is a LOT of life to be lived yet, friend. Grab it! 23. Leaving on a jet plane for a quick trip next week... Decided to buy a new something to wear, and damn. Every store so far the dresses I fit are Smalls. To reward myself for this amazing accomplishment, I just HAD to buy a beautiful pair of chocolate brown suede high heeled boots....I better find a second and third job to cover this clothing habit I SWORE I'd never fall victim to...

  24. Harsh. There is no rule that says you need to spend "x" dollars just because you are sitting in a restaurant seat. It's a service industry. And yes, they're there to make money. I put myself through college waiting tables and bar tending. Never once was I pissed that one person in a party ordered less, or ordered a soda instead of a mixed drink. Never crossed my mind. It all evens out through the course of a shift. And lest you be further mistaken, most servers DO care and will go over board to make certain you are given exactly what you need to have an enjoyable experience and eat on plan. And then, because service was exemplary, they are tipped accordingly. I've NEVER tipped 20% on a $3 bowl of soup...ever... They'll usually a minimum of 50% or more from me in gratuity. People should NOT feel like they need to spend exorbitantly just to occupy a chair. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
