Okay, survived day one of the five day pouch test.....liquids again! Wasn't that bad....I remember that feeling of empowerment that it gave me! Back on track, life is good!

I started today! Survived day one of liquids.....we've all done it before, so I know I can do it again! Just really want to kick the nasty refined carbs AGAIN...

I am seriously looking forward to starting tomorrow back on track.....I have found myself doing a bit of the "last supper" crap again today.....stocked up on soy milk and just ordered some more unjury, this few days on liquids will deplete my current supply. I'm calling first thing tomorrow for an appointment, too!@! 2009 is the year I make goal for the first time in my life! WOO HOO!

Water WEIGHT, yeah....that's the ticket!! Actually, I'm guessing a lot of it is....I swear, I've eaten more ham in the last two weeks than I have in the last two year....and I don't even really like it!

I'm mad at myself.....but I'll get over it. I've decided to go on liquids for five days starting Monday....just back to basics and start all over again. Going to make a doctor's appointment and get in to the food guru and the exercise chickie again. I've got three months of "freebies" left with the doc and I think I better make the best of it! OH...and I'm NOT changing my ticker, dammit! I'll be there again most quickly!

I am excited about 2009 as well. I am determined to make good things happen in my life. I love my job, but I am hoping for a position with a little more responsibility. Truly hoping to move in to sales...been sowing some seeds in that regard and hoping the boss has been paying attention! We have a vacation planned in May.....a cruise with ten of our friends. It will be just an absolute blast. I WILL be at goal by then and I am envisioning myself on the beach in Jamaica wearing a swimsuit! My daughter is becoming more and more of a wonderful human being. She delights me at every turn and I get excited watching her become a woman. She's very good at it. Anyway.....I'm bringing good things in to my life....and excusing negative things.....negativity is such a soul sucker. I am wishing good things and success for all of us! You guys have become a very important part of my support group. Even if I don't post everyday, I do read every day! HERE'S TO A WONDERFUL, HEALTHY, HAPPY AND SLENDER 2009!

Exercise has GOT to be my goal for 2009! I suspect I'd be almost to goal if I'd been faithfully exercising!

My insurance wouldn't pay for the surgery, but did cover most of the pre-op testing. I had to pay the psych consult out of pocket, but everything else was covered under a general physical.

I jumped on the scales, oh so quickly, and noticed I had a 1.5 pound bump, too.....I will take it on the chin, though. I deserve it. I'll also be happy that it's not the usual 7-10 pound bump! The goodies are just about gone, so it will even out. I do think part of it was HAM....I never eat ham, but did so on Christmas day, twice. I'm pretty sensitive to sodium. My rings have been snug, so I know some is Water.....been drinking like a water buffalo yesterday and today to see if I can purge some of it out! Glad to hear the meeting with your new 'friend' went so well, Fenton! Always good for the spirit....well, and the body!!!!!! My hubby and I have had such a great holiday season. I've felt closer to him than I have in a long time. It's nice falling in love all over again.

Wishing you all a wonderful Christmas! We're spending the evening with friends and then doing the standard Christmas run about/feeding frenzy tomorrow! It will be interesting to see if my MIL makes a comment about the weight loss. Christmas has been her favorite time to remind me that I've gained weight in the past.....we shall see! It's most definitely a White Christmas here, we had a ton of snow yesterday and prediction of more today.....it's pretty, but I'm sure glad I don't have to drive very far! ((((Christine))))) That doesn't sound completely normal to me.....I do know my band is a little fickle and more restriction some times than others.....and there are days I have stomach pain...but not to the extent that you do....you poor thing! I have far more good days than bad days. I know you've been doctoring a lot....what does your surgeon say about it? Sending you good thoughts for a successful resolution~!

I couldn't agree more, Lynn! I am just so pleased that I am making it through an entire holiday season without gaining! I was definitely in the 'upper end' of the five to ten pound gain group! It was usually the beginning of a terrible spiral for me that lasted most of the winter. Even with the few indiscretions I've had, it's 1,000 times better than ever before!

I worked a ten hour day, in retail, yesterday....when I got home I was tired...but my back wasn't killing me, my feet weren't killing me and I still had the energy to go grocery shopping! I am happier and that shows through in everything. I'm lined up for a promotion at work, my relationship with my hubby is even better than it was.... Oh, and I look a lot better too!

It's a wash this week....no gain, no loss! During the holiday season, I'll take it!

I'll be posting progress (or the lack thereof).... public exaltation or humiliation is motivating for me!
