Hi all. I just made a huge amount of pure chicken bone broth for after my surgery. I asked my Dr. if this would be OK for the clear liquid post op and he said yes. This broth is not "clear". It is cloudy, like most bone broth, and it has been strained. I did this thinking I would reap more nutritional benefits over the cubes or prepackaged stuff we call "chicken stock". (which if you read the ingredients, oh my) I've frozen them into aluminum cupcake tins, so that my mom or husband can easily grab one when I need to have a liquid. Any opinions on this?

Don't get me wrong here ... but this entire story echoes of external blaming, which the younger generations have been encouraged to do. It's weak, unintelligent, and will ruin that persons life. Their dignity has been removed by teaching them to behave this way.

Thank you for answering my questions. I hope your feet swelling is not unusual. Listen, if this makes any of you feel better ... my ex husband had the RNY about 5 years ago now. Now he is fine. But LORD was our journey made from a road of thorns. He had every single complication listed on the release sheet. He was that guy who fell into the low percentage of people who experience every complication to be had. I won't tell you the details. But for two and a half years the poor man went into surgery sometimes twice a week. Dr. E***** NC Raleigh. *cough* It ruined our marriage, he began to hate the world. Then after years of telling E***** he was having severe abdominal pain and being ignored and labeled a "drug seeker" by the Gracious PO$, he saw another specialist and found E***** mesh wrapped and knotted around his intestines. The man had to live like that for years after all the he went through being blamed for his own pain. I don't understand why my husband never sued that man. My husband however signed all those forms relieving E***** of liability. My husband also should have never had it to begin with because he had blood clotting issues.

Mind if I ask you, what brought you back into the hospital? And what was the reason for your extreme discomfort? Then, how the heck does anyone hike after 2 weeks! lol My many many kudos to you!! =)

Do you mind telling me why it's difficult to walk around the house or get in the exercise they want both of you to do? Do you get winded or very tired? I'm new, so forgive me if I sound clueless!

I would stay on your Dr. advise, or Bariatric Advantage multi chewables, since 4 weeks is still so short of a time. I think I'd go heavy on Vitamins for the rest of your life, right? Perhaps there are some more you can graduate too, after blood-work to see where you may be lacking. I'd request a blood work up. =) That's just me.

Yes I'm over 21 I signed the papers did the online stuff the hospital did everything right. I just never planned on actually doing it. Just was trying to teach my mom a lesson but Now I'm stuck with it.
