Afrikanaaa got a reaction from Dub in Smoothies - off limits?
I'm two-months out and just got the go ahead from my nutritionist to make my own green smoothies last week.
A green smoothie with Protein or hemp oil is good. -- I experienced some serious dumping when I tried an almond milk or Peanut Butter addition.

I didn't really experiment in the soft phase. I lived off of Greek yogurt, babybel light cheese, mashed Beans, Protein Shakes and yogurt.

Yaaay! Good for you. I started off pretty similar, wanted to do lap band for a long time but when I met with my surgeon he thought the sleeve would be the best for me and I agree! I'll be 6 weeks out on Friday and I've never felt better.
@@marl1313 my surgery was good, how was yours?

A couple recent pics. I don't consider them AFTER pics but simply DURING pics. I've got a long way to go to reach AFTER status. Having fun along the way getting there, though.
My BEFORE pics required wide lenses to shoot.
Tripping out at the Under Armour theme shirts now.
I'm wearing one of their snug fitting 3XL shirts on my way out to the gym:

Here's a funny "after" pic. This is after being conned into going out with some friends.......getting home way late.....or early the next morning, depending on how you look at it. Long night.......too old for those shenanigans....but had a blast.

Afrikanaaa got a reaction from VSGAnn2014 in Mediterranean Style Eating
I was a vegan for about 2 years and vegetarian for a year after that, all leading up to my WLS. (Btw-- I am not a moral veg-eater. I used to eat meat, then got sick, and couldn't eat it anymore.)
In getting my sleeve done, my nutritionist and I devised a plan on how I'd be able to get my Protein in / keep the carbs low. I stuck vegetarian. I get my Protein from Protein shakes , meatless ground beef (I swear this actually tastes pretty good), Beans, eggs, cheese and Greek yogurt (which I had to build up a tolerance to). I'm getting about 70-80g of protein in daily right now. My nutritionist also has me taking B12 and Vitamin D every other day (so I'm not missing nutrients with my intake).
Oddly enough I was willing to attempt red meat / whatever to get my protein in, because I want to be very successful post-op, but when I tried it still made me really sick. ????

I'm 3 1/2 weeks out, and my nutritionist said the first few months normal intake will range from 500-800 calories. As long as you're following your doctor's guidelines, getting your Protein, seems like you're doing good to me!
