  1. I am about 4 and 1/2 months and have been stalled for about 2 weeks now. I've tried not to give it much thought. I workout 6x a week cardio and weight training . I eat the required Protein and within the calories. So I know I'm not doing anything "wrong". I am very thankful for forums like this because instead of being worried, I get to read amazing advice from people who've been there and lost even more after the stall ended. Can't wait to bust through this stall and get back to dropping!
  2. Hey there! Quick question. How many ounces are you eating / how far along are you? I'm 4 months out and am following my guidelines, but my nutritionist's suggested ounces get weird after 3 months. Wanted to see what people with the surgery are ACTUALLY doing.
  3. Haha... I'm pretty sure I will be weighing my food, forever.
  4. Regular yogurt yes but Greek yogurt no for me anyway. Its high in Protein and thick. The ones I eat are within the sugar & carb guidelines set out by my NUT. My bad. I was talking about Greek yogurt. The Dannon Light & Fit version was recommended by my nutritionist. It's like 80 cals with 12g of protein. It's been super easy for me to get this down than other foods, but it is closer to a liquid than eggs so it makes sense. Lol
  5. I juuuust started being able to eat a whole egg. Something about the density just fills me up like crazy.
  6. @@OutsideMatchInside thank you for that! I weigh everything too! Sometimes I can eat my 5oz light & fit yogurt like its nothing, other days I struggle to eat 2oz. Glad my struggle is not an abnormal one. Lol thank you! @@VSGAnn2014 thank you!

Hair loss at 3 months post-op. HELP!

At 3 months I was losing hair like crazy, but since I started taking this hair, skin, and nails vitamin that I bought from Costco, it's slowed the rate of loss down. I'm not losing as much hair but it's MUCH LESS than I was without the vitamin.

    Smoothies - off limits?

I'm two-months out and just got the go ahead from my nutritionist to make my own green smoothies last week. A green smoothie with Protein or hemp oil is good. -- I experienced some serious dumping when I tried an almond milk or Peanut Butter addition.
  11. I don't think I'll ever support Lululemon because of their attitude but fitting into their workout gear is definitely goal.

    African American vsgers!

I didn't really experiment in the soft phase. I lived off of Greek yogurt, babybel light cheese, mashed Beans, Protein Shakes and yogurt.
  13. If there's one thing I'm learning is that nothing is "normal" post-sleeve. For the first few weeks I couldn't feel my restriction at all (even though I never tested them) but still stuck with the weighing/measuring my food and all that jazz. Now I'm officially 8 weeks out and can eat a 5oz dannon light & fit Greek yogurt in 20min BUT can't handle more than 2-2.5oz of food (depending on the day). So that's like 1.5oz of Protein, .5oz of black Beans, and .5oz of cheese. And eating that takes me about 30-40 minutes. I feel a restriction now. The "harder" the food the more I feel it. Definitely check with your doctor to make sure you're okay, but if you're following your eating plan/nutritionist's orders, trust the process and you will be just fine.

    5 Week Update!

Yaaay! Good for you. I started off pretty similar, wanted to do lap band for a long time but when I met with my surgeon he thought the sleeve would be the best for me and I agree! I'll be 6 weeks out on Friday and I've never felt better. @@marl1313 my surgery was good, how was yours?

    African American vsgers!

Perhaps you need to UP your calorie count for awhile. shake things up a bit. In a week I'll be one year out. I have warbling between 165-172 since last November weigh-in. I went to Las Vegas a week ago and didn't track anything. Came back home and started doing no sugar, or junk food etc. I also did not weigh myself when I came back until today. My weight today is down 10 pounds from the week before the trip. I have renewed energy and feel much better. I know I was obsessing over the numbers on the scale. Just a thought, talk to your NUT about it. I'm 5 weeks out and 36lbs down. I'm going to keep doing what I'm doing because it's working for me. Thank you though.

    African American vsgers!

Yes I do! I track everything I eat with myfitnesspal. I eat about 650 calories a day (my nutritionist advised between 500-900). I'm getting between 70-90g of protein everyday.

    Insomnia

I'm 5 weeks out, and since I've been home Ive been having the hardest time sleeping. I'm unable to fall asleep when I go to bed at around 10p, and then maybe around 2-3am my body "crashes". I wake up for work at 6a so the crash is never restful. Anyone else experience this? How did you go about regulating your sleep? Also, before anyone asks, I'm getting 75g of Protein in a day, drinking 48-64oz of Water, and my calories sit at about 600-650. I just want my sleep back! ????
