    Scared.

How come you're waiting until Monday? I wonder if when they intubated you if they scratched your throat, but that wouldn't explain the nausea I don't think. Ugh I'd go and get it looked at. Feel better.

    Smoking?

I was told no nicotine, including vaping and the patch etc and they tested for it preop. They didn't test me for alcohol. I didn't even know there was a test for it.

    Sleeve vs. Bypass

I love my sleeve! You don't lose as fast as the bypass patients but the long term results are nearly the same. I chose the sleeve because I didn't have diabetes or gerd and it seemed like a simpler operation. Surgery 5/22 down 45 lbs and have no thyroid, never thought I could lose weight. When is surgery?

    Peanut butter

I ate it because I couldn't do one more bite of yogurt. I have it occasionally with some cheese. Your calories seem really low. I wouldn't worry about the pb
  5. Liquid Tylenol and definitely call and don't wait till Monday. Feel better.
  6. Yeah, I was hungry too. Now I'm far less hungry. The dense protein (chicken beef etc) fills me up and stays with me longer than the puréed foods did. I can't see how you could've stretched it out. You'll see! I was all nervous about all of these same things and it was all for nothing. Surgery 5/22 down 45 lbs and feeling all back to normal.

    Regular diet

So, in the beginning I ate so boring because I was scared and cooking was just too much for the little I could eat. But I used this for example. https://store.bariatricpal.com/pages/meal-plans-for-one-week-for-the-solid-foods-weight-loss-surgery-diet Now that I'm three months out I use this. https://m.barnesandnoble.com/w/the-ketogenic-cookbook-jimmy-moore/1120791682?ean=2940151169974&st=PLA&sid=NOK_DRS_NOOK+EBooks_00000000&2sid=Google_&sourceId=PLGoP78382

    Trying on smaller sizes

If you're weighing you should be fine. I was doing none of that. Not weighing, not examining my outfits in the mirror before work like I used to, and bumming around in loose clothes. I was just burying my head really.

    Trying on smaller sizes

I retired and stopped wearing my suits and dress clothes and gained a lot of weight without noticing due to stretchy clothes. I knew I was gaining but not to the extent that I did.

    Trying on smaller sizes

I feel the same way. I am so uncomfortable in tighter clothes. I tried on a pair of jeans that fit for five minutes five years ago. Haven't tried them on in forever and they fit. I'm ok if something doesn't fit because I know it will eventually!

    A whole new life

I'm really sorry he's not a bit more supportive. The first few weeks are weird and kind of lonely. Lots of people do go out with friends. I did go out to eat early on and it was ok but definitely weird at first. I went on Pinterest and pinned recipes for when I could eat, clothes I wanted to wear, and vacations I wanted to take (booked one!). Life will feel more normal soon. Use this time for you. Do things that bring you joy. Buy scented lotions you can't grow out of those. Fun jewelry. Makeup. I'm not trying to break the bank but you can still shop. [emoji3] It'll get better. This part kind of sucks but then it's awesome!

    Regular diet

I did a google search for menu plans and it helped. I'm doing low carb so lots of meats (the fish here sucks or I'd do more fish) cheeses and nuts. I am forcing myself to cook more so I don't get bored and don't fall into old habits. It took me a while to get in the groove so at your stage I was eating chicken. Lots of chicken lol Do you like to cook?

Have you called the Dr? I would.

    I regret this surgery

I had no idea how much I used food when my emotions were raw. I truly didn't. It was quite an eye opener.

    Sex after Surgery??

Two weeks for me as well.
  17. This gets asked a lot and I was one of the many who wondered this as well. Yes it's common and ok. It's actually good! You can stay hydrated and get your protein and vitamins in. You will feel restriction when you eat real food. Liquids and soft foods just didn't produce any restriction for me. Your stomach may still be swollen. Mine was the same way. My energy didn't return for 8 weeks but some people get theirs back much sooner.

    How are people losing 10lbs/month?!

I can go three weeks with no loss then lose 7 lbs. I don't actually lose 11 lbs a month but it has averaged to that over time. The stalls break and the sun comes out again! I'm not in a stall right now so I'm all positive and cheery but when they hit it really does scare me. I try so hard not to freak out though because they ALWAYS end.

How do I stop eating so fast?

I tried before surgery and then after surgery didn't eat real food for 8 weeks and down the tubes all my "training" went! [emoji23]

How do I stop eating so fast?

I'm very good about measuring. I'm glad to know it doesn't matter. I enjoy how I eat and having to chew till mush wasn't enjoyable (when I managed to do it).

    I regret this surgery

You had me till that last line! Lol! QueenTiff I hope you're feeling better.

How do I stop eating so fast?

I'm curious, if we eat the same portions but eat fast, does it matter? I eat fast too and nothing bothers my stomach. I mean I don't inhale my food but it's no way the chewing I'm supposed to do. Anyone know why it matters that we chew so much if it doesn't bother our stomach and we aren't over eating?

    Feeling regretful

What does your surgeon say about it?
  24. You're ok. I was the same way. Once you eat you'll feel much more restriction. Liquids were so easy for me right from the start. Sounds like your healing well. Don't be nervous if you can help it. It really hasn't ended up being an issue for me at all.
  25. I had those same thoughts even without them canceling on me. I think a lot of us do. Especially with some success on the preop diet. It's not even just losing the weight, it's keeping it off. I hope they reschedule soon but you definitely sound like you're developing a good attitude. Stay positive, it'll happen.
