  1. I need to get back to exercising too. Since being sober I started bingeing on foods that I’m allowed. But doing the reset. I started yesterday. It’s hard but it is supposed to give restriction back. It’ll be okay! Promise ya. And find something to do whether it is crocheting or coloring. Anything on your down time.
  2. It will get better trust me. It’s a huge shock to your body. You have lost your vice (food). Exercise a lot and minimize caffeine. It will be easier soon.
  3. Very depressed and sad a lot. Mood swings the whole nine yards. Became addicted to something as well. Im over a month sober now. Found my way back to God and even though my life has some difficulties and things aren’t perfect I know it’s going to be okay. It honestly gets much better. I’m 21 months out. Seek counseling. It helps too!
  4. OMG I had my sleeve Jan 5th too. How are you doing?Hi there surgery twin! I'm doing great. I'm on the soft foods phase now..have been for a little over a week. Baked and grilled boneless skinless chicken breast is getting kinda old but sure beats puree any day! How are you doing? Im doing good. Not eating much but craving a lot of things. The premier Protein helps me just to get something in. Are you on full exercise mode? I know this surgery is my life change but I still have not energy. I need to start!!! I have lost 19.5lbs I know we are all different but would like to hear from you!!! Please!!!! I'm so glad you're doing well! I know it is very hard. I have been craving cold stuff so have been eating a ton of sugar free popsicles. I eat them all day long but stop half an hour before I eat of course. I honestly do not have any energy either. I stay really sleepy and I think that is pretty normal. I was walking the first couple of weeks afterward but now I haven't been and I have got to start back walking and doing other exercises as well. At my one month follow up I had lost 21 pounds. It's gonna be alright. We just gotta keep moving forward.

    A good birth control?

Wow thanks ladies! Lots of you say Mirena so I'll ask my gyno about that. I really appreciate it highly. I'm ready to get some goody goody but have 2 more weeks before that can happen. Looks like he'll have to use a condom for now until I can get in to see her. Thanks again for the amazing replies!

    HELLO JANUARY SLEEVERS!

I was sleeved the 6th. I'm glad to find someone close to my date. How are you feeling? I feel like I didn't even have surgery by today. Hi there! So sorry it took me a long time to reply. I am not really good at forums and couldn't figure out how to get my notifications until just a bit ago. LOL I'm feeling great and I'm 2 weeks out tomorrow. I actually will be able to start purees I believe. I have my nutrition class in the morning and will find out more about that. I hope you are feeling good and doing good!

    HELLO JANUARY SLEEVERS!

Keep us updated how youre doing. Thanks! I'm doing pretty well actually. Have had the gas a bit still but it seems to be making it's way out alright. I've been a bit emotional today but think that's all a very early part of this journey. I hope you are doing well! Great. How emotional? regrets? excited? I'm just ending the first week of preop liquid diet. All Liquids. Starting day 7 today Hi hun, so very sorry it took me so long to reply to this. I'm kinda not that great with using forums and was trying to figure out how to find my notifications. I just found them..lol Anyway, I'm almost 2 weeks out now (tomorrow I'll be 2 weeks) and I am better every day. I have not been too emotional. Just kind of nervous I think was more the word. No regrets now and yes I am very very excited. Good luck to you!! Please let me know how you are doing.
  9. Hi ladies. I'm 36 years old and am 2 weeks out so unable to have sex with the hubs yet. My surgeon said for me to wait until I'm a month out. But I've been trying to figure out what a good birth control would be. I have PCOS so I've never been pregnant and have never had to use birth control. I know losing weight can cause women to become fertile and the doc doesn't want me getting pregnant for 2 years. I will make an appointment with my gyno next week, but I wanted personal opinions on birth control options. I'm really scared of any type because of the hormones but I have to use something and he hates condoms (I do too actually). Thanks in advance!

    Should I...Or Shouldn't I?

I personally feel that perhaps counseling is something you should seek out before moving forward with the surgery if you binge. I actually have binged before many times but it wasn't a daily thing for me. I'm 2 weeks out and while It's not been easy, every day seems to be better than the last so I'm just taking my time and I do feel that the surgery was a good decision. Maybe you could attend several support groups before making any decisions? It's definitely something that needs to be addressed prior to moving forward in my opinion. Best wishes to you in whatever path you decide!
  11. I'm fairly new here and I'm only 2 weeks out (tomorrow will be 2 weeks) but I feel maybe she is placing the blame on someone else due to the initial after surgery regret. Whatever the case is, I really hope this young lady finds happiness. If it's a troll, then shame on them.

    Facial hair.

Hi ladies..am new to this forum. I was just sleeved this past Tuesday. I was diagnosed with PCOS at 24 and I'm almost 36 now. It was beyond time for me to do something to help myself. I've tried all the "diets" and different ways of eating but ultimately ended up bigger than I was so I opted for the sleeve. Anyway, I wanted to see how the facial hair and all that was affected so that's why I chimed in. Kinda a bummer that the facial hair sticks around.
