    30-rule?

I don't necessarily chew 30 times and I can't always not drink 30 minutes before eating. I never know when I'll get a break at work. But ABSOLUTELY 30 minutes after. It only took one time of forgetting. Results were not pretty!

    Anyone in South Dakota?

Lol he was my surgeon [emoji106]???? couldn't ask for anyone better.

    Anyone in South Dakota?

I was actually a year out 12/21. Who are you going through?

    Sioux Falls right here!

    Gastric Bypass

At 3 days I was definitely still on liquids. Full liquids yes, but certainly nothing blended. It's hard to get a sensation of being full when you're just on liquids. Once you can have actual soft foods it'll be easier to tell. Are you measuring everything out?

    Drunk water after eating

Bypass here and Lordy it DID physically hurt me in the form of cramping and find a bathroom NOW lol. It was definitely a mistake I only needed to make once.

    Crack chicken recipe

Super good. I actually add a half cup of milk to mine because otherwise I feel like it's too thick. Also left off the bacon and it was way better that way.

    Quinoa

I use quinoa in place of rice
  9. I did mag citrate pre op. One cherry bottle and I chugged that thing. Just very very salty.
  10. Everyone has different reactions to foods. If it's on your plan but bothering you, leave it be and then come back to it in a week or two. I have a coworker who's 3 years post op and her new tummy is not her friend. It changes its mind daily on what it will or won't tolerate.

    Post Op Diet

That would all depend on what your surgeon says.
  12. I don't understand how you equate not going out or not eating applebees to someone is starving themselves. Those are not the only options. You absolutely CAN go out with friends and not eat. It's a choice. Congrats on the weight loss so far. It's great. But this period of time doesn't last and it's the CHOICES you continue to make that will dictate how much you lose and if it stays off. People here will give great advice but it's not necessarily sugarcoated.
  13. 9 days post op sparkling water might cause some discomfort.
  14. I didn't realize that not liking applebees automatically equals old prude. Learn something new everyday. Watching football doesn't mean you have to eat. It IS possible to just watch the game. This surgery is just as much about changing habits and mental obstacles as it is about your insides being re routed or altered.

Cheated 5 days after my sleeve

Even from veggies. They can get stuck in incisions and cause all kinds of problems. It's not stick to liquids because we're trying to be mean. It's so that your body has time to heal.
