  2. My BMI was close to 40- surgeon told me not to gain or lose too much weight before surgery - I am 3 months post op and all is great with diet/weight loss
  3. Brave to tell your story and inspire others to follow the diet! Good luck on the rest of your journey

    Gallbladder surgery!

Yes similar! You will be fine. I had mine out after I lost weight years ago. It happens, take care of it. Only negative will be limits to your exercise post surgery but you will be back to normal eventually!

    Help feelings of regret

I was sleeved same week as you... What is your progress? Doesn't that give you a sense of accomplishment? Feeling good helps feel good about your decision. Last night I went to a fantastic steakhouse and I could only eat a small amount - i wanted to eat more so at that moment i had some regret but then i saw myself in the mirrors in the bathroom and regret gone!

    interesting...5 days post op

Comments all normal! Great you were mostly prepared! It gets better every week. 2.5 months out and loving my sleeve!
  7. Do you get FMLA? Then they can't stop you and job is protected. Make up another reason why you need surgery (emergency gallbladder is a good one or something gynecology no one will ask more questions) Work does not need to know your business.
  8. 3 months and 60lbs down - feeling awesome!

      wow - that's great!!! congrats-

keep up the fantastic job - i know you will!! good luck - kathy

  9. I generally am happy when people notice and compliment... I just don't like the "half your size" or " you look like a different person" compliment. I am still me and you don't have to remind me how fat I was. They are just trying to be nice - sometimes I say " you are embarrassing me" to get them to stop but most of the time I just say thank you and smile.

    Surgery W/ No Cpap

They didn't use my machine during surgery itself. I did have it for nighttime but it's not like I slept much in the hospital anyway.

    Self-Sabotage & why I eat crap

Love these posts! I am 2.5 months out and 55 pounds down - I am good at losing weight and I feel great! I am trying to understand why in the past I couldn't keep it off- what is the difference this time? Why do I love crap food so much. Why do I get lazy and sabatoge all my hard work. Hope I can figure it out before I do it again.

I did week 1 - walk 3.2 Andy run4.2 and I was ok - tried week 2 and I couldn't do it - I went back to walking 3.5 for now - I think I need to lose some more weight first and then I will try again. In

    What's your workout routine?

I am 2 weeks post op and joined a gym today. Last week I just walked 30 minutes around the neighborhood just to get started. Today I did 2 miles/40 minutes on treadmill and it felt great. I also bought a Fitbit so I can track my steps ( 10,000 steps is my goal every day) just start walking and ease your way in the rest over time
