  1. I'm sitting with the Fall Vogue on my lap, picking out things I am going to try on and buy this weekend. Before surgery I would have just been looking at shoes and purses, but now clothes are an option. Post-op life is great!

I'm still shocked that I can now wear so many things I couldn't wear before. I have to keep my wallet closed to avoid going broke at the mall!

I use Unjury. I like to sprinkle the chicken soup flavor powder on anything savory.

@lucy4462, try shaking things up in some way. Change your exercise, your food choices, or your eating schedule. Our bodies get stuck in ruts, so introducing change can help.

  6. I am delighted to report that I am official "overweight"--not "obese" I haven't heard those words since elementary school. Take THAT, Sister Mary Francis!

  7. Today is 12 months post-RNY! A whole year already, it's mind-boggling! My sloowww loss in the last several months picked up quite a bit this month and I lost 12 pounds. I'm down 180 since surgery and 243 pounds since my heaviest two years ago. The difference two years can make... :) Expect a longer and more detailed post later today, with before and current pictures! Thank you so much for all of your support and kindness, everyone! Couldn't have made it here without you. <3

I couldn't believe it when I was in the dressing room. It was surreal. Also, I thought someone was going to chase me out of the misses' section.

  9. When I look in the mirror.....I still see the same person I saw 83lbs ago....I can tell the difference in pictures...but not in the mirror. Is that normal?

I think the mirror is much more subjective than it seems. My weight fluctuates daily by 20 pounds, according to my mirror!

  11. I've been stalled for most of this month. But today I stepped on the scale and was pleasantly surprised to see that I'm exactly 100 pounds down since surgery, and 155 down since my highest. I can barely believe it!

  14. Today the scale reached that 100# lost milestone! I'll be celebrating by treating myself to a dermatological procedure :-)
