    Just getting started...

It does suck you have to wait but trust me it will be here before you know it. Due to work I had to wait 7 months from my seminar to surgery. I thought it would take forever. But it was here in a flash and now I'm 5months post op. !

    Pain under breastbone

Very normal for me. Have my surgery in November and that is the only pain I had to deal with. I would get sharp pains in my side. Remember a lot was done in there even tho you have small holes on the outside. It will go away soon just walk all you can !! It truly helps.

    Just starting journey

I had bypass done November - I was so worried about the liquid diet part , but it is fine in my opinion. Every doc is different so I'm not sure how he is having you do yours. But I lived in jello and broth. (Plus the protein shake 3x a day for meals) I also was able to have ginger ale and for me I'm not a soda person but I was for that 3 weeks!! I felt the fullest after I drank the ga. Keep busy doing things! For me I was still able to take my vits. I had to stop taking them like 5 days before I went in. But I also was low on iron so they had to make sure my numbers stayed where they were suppose to ! Please feel free to contact me ! It's the best decision I have ever made I am already down 100 lbs !!!!
  5. @@mid I use the Bariatric advantage strawberry kind and it is like a starburst !! I couldn't take the pill I was getting really sick off of it. My doc told me to order online and I'm glad I did ! They taste great.

    Right around the corner

I had a few typos, I hate auto correct ! But to clarify I am glad I chose to do this!
  13. Well, I came across this awesome app just in time! I will be having my surgery on Monday! I am so nervous , but yet so excited to start this journey. It is amazing to read all these post and it sure has helped me as I started feeling , well as some would say a little fish in a big sea. And at some points I found my self being looked at like a was crazy. I have had a lot thrown at me with my decision to take this life long journey, such as are you sure this is a good idea, well good thing some can take the easy way out... But I have also received some of the best support along the way already! But for many of you already know it is not an easy way. It's a whole new way of eating. Training yourself all over again. You have to work everyday. For me I had to change my life months in advance from my surgery date.. I have to admit it wasn't all that hard due to the fact that I am not a chip eater, soda drinker, or candy addict. But it's still hard not to finish up my sons chicken patty, or whatever else he has on that tray. But I did it, and to anyone who might be reading this you can do it too. We all might be hard on ourselves hoping this all can be fixed over night, but it can't it is a process like everything else in our life. But if you are determined and you have support anything is possible. To anyone who actually read this I hope it helps because we are not alone, apps like this help everyone realize they aren't crazy! I'm not the only one struggling. For me the hardest part was making my mind up on if it was time to start a new chapter, and I am not very glad I did. I met wonderful people and hopefully I can meet more amazing people on this app. So to anyone who just read this whole post about nothing , I thank you . Sometimes you just need to get things out. I am excited to start my transformation !
