  1. Before and less than a year post VSG.
  2. Thanks. Yes!! My fat goggles are still working, sadly.
  3. Sure does even three days later [emoji3]
  4. Even with my 130 + pounds of weight-loss, I weigh more than my younger sibling. I get frustrated by scale numbers some days tbh. Even though I workout and stay very active and have maintained a pretty good diet focusing more on toning and gaining muscles still I get secretly bummed. Since surgery, I have overhauled my lifestyle. Last weekend my sister was showing me some clothes she bought and just for fun I started trying them on. To my surprise everything was big on me. I was secretly ecstatic. Because I’m gaining muscles and losing inches so that means my workouts showing results. I want to be as fit as I possibly can be. I do eat more carbs like whole grains, Brown rice and quinoa now but I keep away from simple carbs because of my fitness goals. Moral of story the numbers on scale is not everything.

    NSV shout outs

At my last physical, my PCP was full of compliments about my weightloss. He also reminded me how great it was that I was maintaining two years and 5 months out because majority of folks start gaining after two years out. And all the labs came out good. This is the same Dr. who harped about how I needed to lose weight if I wanted to live a bit longer. It was a really proud moment for me.
  6. I am just over two years post VSG and I still smile when I see the huge gap between myself and tables when I’m sitting in a booth at restaurants. Also, when I see my collar bone I love it. It’s a nice reminder how far I have come. And keeps me motivated to stay on track with my fitness and nutrition.
  7. Peoples jaws drop after you reintroduce yourself to them.

    Pain after surgery

Hello, besides the gas pain which went away pretty quickly once I started walking a lot thanks to a walking buddy I had no pain. But the nausea continued all night. Just my personal experience.

    Loose Skin

The way I see it loose skin won't kill me. Having lost 130## i have a lot of sagging skin but I wouldn't trade it for anything. I'm still not done losing. My journey was slower than most people but I am so grateful for everything.
  10. Finally, accepting my new size as a much smaller person. Mind caught up with body 20months post surgery
  11. When you finally accept that you can fit regular size clothing and don't have to go to the plus size section. For the first time since surgery 10/2016 I didn't walk into women's section. The mind finally caught up with body perhaps.
  12. I made it to onderland [emoji1373][emoji1437]but because I haven't been weighing regularly I don't know when it happened. I am beyond excited. Been over 16 years since I was in onderland. I am so grateful and thankful for this decision to make myself healthy and fit. My relationship with food is so much healthier now. I don't obsess about anything I consume. If I do eat a carb mainly as dessert I don't beat myself because I know I make good food choices 90 percent of the time. I am proud of myself and how far I have come. Just like everyone else I get my fair share of not so favorable days in life but I don't seek comfort from foods or alcohol like old me would have. It is my choice to make me and keep me healthy. Please be kind to you because you are very special and don't give up.
  13. 'Allo@Newme17, I don't have any rhythm so I'm jealous of your dancing skills
  14. Hiya!@OutsideMatchInside, I think we have similiar workout. I too am getting back into yoga after a 25year hiatus. It's fun.
  15. Hi@bellabloom, girl I wish I could run. Running leaves my left heel hurting for weeks and out of commission. Why I don't know. Keep it up!!
