Last week I wore a summer dress that I have t worn in 15 years.
Weighing myself and seeing my high school weight (back in 1997). I was over weight but active.
Losing the first 50 lbs, then 100!
My husband walking right past me because after 16 years he didn't recognize me in a crowd. Has happened multiple times.
Running my fastest 5k since high school, 32:29!

I have had so many, but the big one this week was that I was able to ride comfortably in my mom's car, my nephew's SUV, and a friend's car. A year ago I didn't have confidence I could fit in most cars.

    weighing less than my husband.
my daughter walking right past me at Liz's graduation. (you know the change is profound when your own child doesn't recognize you!) (she's grown, moved out, hadn't seen me in about 6 weeks at that point)

Being approved for skin removal surgery
    Finding friends on BP

Seeing my BMI not be in the obese range
The time my shorts fell off while I was walking down the hall
Going into the plus size section and realizing that nothing would fit me
The day I realized that I was not an emotional wreck anymore

Sometimes jumping up and down, and shouting for joy needs to be shared with others...and sometimes others jump higher and shout louder than we did for ourselves.

Another trick for adding Protein at this stage is PB2. This is powdered Peanut Butter. They press the nuts to remove most of the fat then pulverize the nuts. Sprinkle on cottage cheese with sliced banana, mix into greek yogurt, add to a smoothie (chocolate Premier Protein shake with peanut butter...yum). Regular peanut butter could very easily break my calorie bank at this stage, so PB2 was a god send.

For a while I thought about how much more energy I have. I recently realized that I am returning to how I was meant to be. I used to have this much energy before my major weight gain, and I am returning to that level. As I got bigger, my energy decreased. Emotionally, I am returning to my previous levels of happiness, too. It is as if a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders (wait, that's exactly what happened!!!). Many people from different walks of life, friends and just acquaintances have all said that I glow. I just hope that it is not from the barium in my pre-op tests! @@Icantbelieveit said they just looked forward to things again, I have to agree, big time.

Same basic cooking method egg-sept(sorry) drain and shake the daylights out of the pan to crack the shells all over THEN chill in ice cold Water. As the eggs cool, they contract, drawing water into the cracks in the shell and creating a barrier of water between the egg and shell. Some time they just slip right off in one hand. Also, old eggs are best.

Hummus has been my absolute favorite during this phase. It is so flavorful and savory. The one I like is extra garlicky, so my husband is probably very sick of my stinky face now! now I'm really enjoying the pouches of tuna. Again, my favorite is the garlic herb one. Poor husband.

At your stage, I ate the Laughing Cow soft cheese. They come in several flavors and are a small triangle of a serving.

Boiling is best reserved for older eggs. When they're too fresh the membranes are very tight and clingy, which makes a clean peel impossible. As they near or exceed their sell by date, the membranes relax and slide off easily.
When I boil mine, I place them in the smallest size saucepan they'll fit in (the less room there is for them to thrash around the less likely they are to crack), add cold Water until its an inch above the eggs, then cover. I set the pan over a burner on high, then immediately remove it from the heat the moment it comes to a boil, setting a timer for 10 minutes. When the timer goes I remove the lid, set the pot in the sink, and run cold Water in it for several minutes. This results in whites that are solid but tender, and yolks that are fully cooked but bright and creamy (rather than crumbly). Perfect, imo.

I'm surprised about how I'm looking forward to things. Before I would make up an excuse to not go. Now I can't wait to work outside to get the house done. I'm only a month out, but my energy is way up.

For me it's how much I can do and get done now. My house is cleaner then it's been in years and on the weekends I can't stand to just sit around and do nothing anymore. I want to get out and go all the time.

whenever I have fallen off the exercise bandwagon, I usually have to lie to myself to get started again
ie/ you only have to do it for 15 minutes or lets just do 3 days a week. usually within the month I am back at it full steam because it just makes you feel so much better overall.
