    Couch to 5k

    I've done c25k, great program!
  2. You can't change what happened decades ago. My mom taught me bad eating habits, but I've been out of her house for over 15yrs. By now I can only blame myself. With that said, ok I figured out who to blame, but that doesn't fix anything either. What fixes/changes things is action. You take each day at a time and focus on the present. What are you doing/eating today to accomplish ur goal. Focusing on the past or who to blame takes time and focus away from what will get u results, and that is action.
  3. How are you feeling?? How did everything go?

1 week post op! Puree time!

I am doing well spirit wise, however k am struggling getting all the fluids in and I'm dealing with pain as well. I was trying not to take pain meds that often but will take some today. Are you still sore? In any form of pain? I'm not in any pain 1.5 weeks out. I think I had minimal pain from the get go! Each day gets better and you'll be able to drink/eat more and more, but to a point.

    Today!

Congrats! I was sleeved 12/1! Going great so far. Down 9 lbs but the thing I'm loving the best is how full I get on so little! The other thing is that recovery was not that bad! Good luck and keep us posted!

    Hunger?

During my 1st week post op, I was hungry after day 3, if I wasn't "eating" every couple hours. Good thing though was that after I ate a very little bit of Soup (1/4 cup...if that) I was full. I'm now in purées at wk 2, so I stay full longer and still fill up really quickly. I'm really liking the sleeve so far.
  9. Bonita! Your day is almost here! How are you feeling?
  10. Thank u! I went to full liquids on day 2! Although that was just 2 oz of soup, 2 oz of jello, and 2 oz juice at one meal. Lol. Each day I'm getting in more and more. Have to work on getting my protein shakes in. I hate sipping and then it gets warm. I go to purées on tues! So tuna and canned meats are ok...can't wait! Lol
  11. Great mentality...one day at a time!good luck on Tues! I'll check in on u!
  12. Hey Tom! I was sleeved on 12/1 as well! We should keep in touch! How are you feeling? How's the liquid diet going?

    My 6 month check up!

Awesome! Tell me your tricks! Do you work out everyday? Do you follow a certain meal plan! Do tell! I'm 4d out and need this surgery to be successful.
  16. It's best to eat small meals every 2-3hrs. It keeps your blood sugar steady.

    Fried Foods

I would eat before the events and drink some juice while there. It's not worth the one or two things you'll have.
  18. Lol. I did wake up! Thanks. Feeling great, and hope it stays this way.
  19. Awesome!!! Great job. Ur officially in "one-derland"
  20. Hi! I'm recovering so well! Thank God! Honestly I thought recovery would be horrible, but it really hasn't been! I finally got to eat my clear liquid diet last night and couldn't finish (I should say) didn't want to finish my 4 oz of broth. Today I did eat my 2 oz broth, 2 oz Jello, 2 oz apple juice and 1 oz Protein packet. It took about an hour to eat but I feel good! I hope ur surgery and recovery goes smoothly!
  21. Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear that! I hope it comes out as benign. My prayers are with you!
  22. Yes, that's what my nutritionist said as well. She said to try to get 3/day. I'm just curious how much u can really drink at a time. I eat my first meal in a few hours so I guess I'll see how I tolerate liquids. Good luck on ur procedure! Ull do great!
