sleeved 12/14/15. pre op diet began at 292. surgery day 277. today 245. i feel as if i am losing slow because of the amount of stalls ive had. i lost 20 the first two weeks. then stalled for 2 weeks. then pretty much the entire time since. with a few days of a loss in between. its frustrating to say the least.

@@Chrystee My husband didn't say that but he did say "I think you looked the best at 180" ummm excuse me! Well I think you look best without a black eye soooo. That was nearly 40 lbs ago. Then I remembered at 267 he never told me I was fat....his opinions are now null & void! He can't be trusted in the weight determining department so he's found it best just to shut up. Which is just the way I like it!

I was sleeved Dec 17 and I feel my weight is slow coming off also. Post Op weight 302. Surgery day 277 and today 242. I can't seem to eat over 500 calories a day. Just seems it should be faster. I think maybe it's age or starting BMI. I guess at least we are losing and I think slow may be better in the long run. ????????

I was posting from my phone last night so I could post as in depth as I would have liked.
The first Gastretomy was performed in 1881 by Theodor Billroth. Removing part of the stomach for whatever purposes, cancer or ulcers is not a new surgery. It has been proven that people can live without part of their stomach or even their entire stomach for over a 100 years. Removing part of the stomach and doing so solely for the purpose of weight loss is newer, but the concept is not new at all. There is a long term proven safety in just removing part or all of the stomach.

    Jalapeno Poppers
    1 avocado
    sliced bacon
    sun dried Tomato (1/4 cup)
    salt
    jalapeno slices
    honey (tsp)
mash avocado, add salt and diced sun dried tomato, to chunky consistency, slice bacon in half, place one slice jalapeno on half bacon slice, dab avocado mixture, then wrap. Take the other bacon half and wrap it perpendicularly. Place on baking sheet. Repeat with remainder of bacon slices. Place in oven and bake to crispiness of preference. Some people like their bacon crispier than others.
    Eat and enjoy.
Also if you don't eat bacon, this mixture can be used to stuff chicken breast or to lay shrimp or fish across.

So this thread totally sent me to the store for avocado.
I diced two small, added the juice of one lime, salt, diced red onion, a bit of Tabasco, a few tablespoons of salsa verde, and tossed it lightly.
    Fabulous.

costco has this delish cilantro lime shrimp in the prepared foods section. I buy it and add a diced avocado, a little extra lime and a very thinly sliced red onion. SO GOOD.
    Yours sounds awesome.

I know! I know! If course you can substitute the flour and crumbs to lower carb options. I'm sure the result would be the same....delicious!
    RECIPE:
    Makes about 24 fries
    Here's what you need:
    - 3 Avocados (slightly firm)
    - 3 eggs
    - 1 cup flour
    - 1 cup panko bread crumbs
    - 1 tsp salt
    - 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (adjust to taste, or substitute with garlic powder)
    - Pepper
    Directions:
Slice the avocados in half, and then slice lengthwise into wedges.
Mix the bread crumbs with the cayenne pepper and salt.
Roll the slices in flour, then in the whisked eggs, then in the breadcrumbs.
Place the slices on wax paper on a baking sheet. Spray well with cooking spray. Add a sprinkle of black pepper if desired.
Bake for approximately 12 minutes at 400˚F/204˚C. Flip alway through and re-spray. Enjoy with your favorite dipping sauce!

Take a slice and a slice of jack cheese...roll a slice of turkey around it and then eat OR grill it in a pan then eat.
    Yum!
