  1. No one is more surprised than me! I did my first 5k yesterday and I lived to tell! Lol

I was intimidated when I first arrived but I was in a group and it was wonderful!

Dare I say I want to do it again and not just run/ walk like I did this time but maybe actually running the entire course ????

Awesome job! I did my 1st one 2 weeks ago. I am not a runner but I did run 1/2 of it. Of course in spurts but I did it and I'm proud of it. So be proud!!

  3. This past weekend was really rough. I ate things I wasn't supposed to - I had tamales and chips. I gained 2 lbs. I'm going back to basics for the next two weeks. I will have eggs with veggies in the morning and the a Premier Protein shake for lunch and dinner. If I get hungry in between I will eat some veggies. Yesterday was my first day and it wasn't that bad.

Last week was the week from hell! I ate everything that wasn't nailed down. Gained 3 lbs. Yesterday I did well until I had a custard from Rita's. Didn't gain or lose today I've done much better. I'm determined to stay on plan today. Hoping to see a loss tomorrow. I have my 8 month follow up w the dr on Thursday also with the NUT. That ought to be fun. I guess I can't complain it's been all me. I'm 25 pound from goal and want to get there by my 41st bday in July. Hope you are doing much better.

  4. HI THERE! I was just thinking about you. The veggies look wondeeful. I've been so so busy with trying to manage 2 homes. We settled on our new one on the 31st of march. We've been packing and moving things for 2 weeks. Since its 4 hours away from where we currently live it's a heck of a trip. We just listed our other home for sale yesterday and pray for a quick sale. The scale has been up and down for me between 177 and 174 yesterday. I'm hoping to get some exercise in here soon. It's been so hectic I haven't worked out in months. Glad to hear you are doing well.

  5. I have been stuck at 142.6 for almost 2 weeks now. I need to start exercising but with 2 jobs its hard. I have been cheating everynight with a bowl of layes chips. Now i know they dont bother my sleeve so i can eat them and i do. I think exercise is the key for me at thus time. I will let you all know how that goes.

I've made it to 181 now shooting for the 70's again lol

  6. I've been so busy the past few weeks, trying to get my house ready to be on the market and purchasing a new home already that I've completely lost track of me and my journey. I haven't been able to exercise in about 2 months...which I hate because I love to exercise. My eating for the last 4 days has been terrible and I've gained 2 pounds. I am so disappointed with myself. I know that I will get to goal and I'm only 6 months out, and once I'm on the market with the house and settlement is done at the end of this month things will calm down. I vow to stay away from carbs and sugars starting right now.

  7. Lorri716 hope you get to 179lbs just thinking of the 179 makes me excited!! I been sticking to the plan and feel so good. This morning my weight was 180 lbs!!!

Well I didn't make it to 179. Hopefully this week I will. I'll be more strict while at work. The weekends have done me in as we are working hard to get our house ready to get on the market. Sat and sun all day I had no stove so it was miserable eating for 2 days. Last night was the first I could cook. This weekend will be better as I'll be in control.

I'm just checking in a giving my 1 week follow up after I started A Pound of Cure. It has been going very well, I started at 184 lbs this past Monday and today I weigh 177.2 lbs! I been following the rules exactly how it is on the book. Eating at least 1 lb of vegetables, 2 oz raw nuts, 6-8 oz of meat or eggs, 1/2 cups of legumes and best part unlimited fruit and I mean unlimited. What had been the hardest while doing this:

    1. My coffee with fairly easy milk and Splenda. I missed it really bad for the 1st three days. I could have coffee with almond milk, but I don't like it when is not sweet so I haven't had any.

    2. My Greek yogurt with crystal light, unable to eat it cause the dairy and artificial sweeteners.

    3. Finding time to drink Water in between. I feel like I'm constantly eating.

And the great part about it:

    1. Unlimited fruit!!! All of it doesn't matter which one

    2. It feels really good to know that I'm eating very healthy nothing processed.

Well that's about it going on my second week and I will give you guys a follow up after the 2nd week.

I've never heard of this diet. I'm so happy for you. 177 is amazing. Keep up the good work.

  8. Have been out for awhile. Happy to hear all are doing well. I am 6 months out now and down to 144lbs. Feeling really good. So much energy. Eating most foods but in small amounts and sticking to my new food choices. I do like layes potato chips thats my weakness. Still want to lose 15 more lbs.

@@rln52 happy to hear from you. You are doing great! I'm about 182 right know. I feel like the 180's have been the hardest pounds to lose. For me the nuts are still my weakness.

I agree with you the 180's are tough to get through.

The view from our room. Too bad we leave tomorrow. It's nice seeing dolphins every morning when you get up.

This is absolutely stunning! Glad you are having fun!

The dolphins were amazing. I don't recommend virginia beach to anyone in the winter, it was so boring.
