    The 10 month journey!

Awesome job to everyone on their weight loss!!! This is an amazing tool and a life changing experience to us all [emoji4]
  2. In my experience Converting from band to sleeve after having medical complications was truly life changing. Best of luck on your weight lose journey. Low BMIer Banded 04/2012 @ 190 lbs 5'1. Sleeved 10/2015 @154lbs now at my personal goal 128lbs as of 12/31/16.
  3. Low BMI Band to Sleeve Revision 10/16/15. HW 184 SW 154 down to 136.5. I am 5'1 and my goal is 128 - Hope to reach it soon. Revision to the sleeve is the best thing I could have done. I still eat a little but I can eat healthy stuff like protein some veggies and hardly any carbs, the difference now is whatever I eat stays in. No more throwing up or getting stuck, it's a true blessing.

    Back to work. How soon?

I went back at 5 days post op - I have an office job as well and only worked half days for the first few days and I did just fine. Good luck!
  5. I feel everyone's experience is different. My sister had a gastric plication done across the boarder in Mexico on 11/06/15 after a 1 night stay was released from the clinic. She was heavily sedated but as soon as the anesthesia wore out she started having uncontrollable pain, nausea and vomiting end ended up in the ER with a hole in her stomach and a severe infection. Since then She's had two surgeries and is still waiting for her stomach to heal in order to have a 3rd one. Can't drink or eat anything, has a tube coming out her nose, a feeding tube, a pic line going straight to her heart and 2 drains and we still don't know if her gastric plication surgery will limit her food intake as it was originally intended. Hopefully she gets well enough to be released and go back home soon. I will suggest if you are going to get your surgery in Mexico have a back up plan In case you have complications (dr.'s care and money wise).

    October sleevers

I got sleeved Oct 16 I'm 5 days post op, what helped me with liquids was to use a teaspoon to slowly drink my broth, lemonade, chamomile tea and iced water up until I got discharged from the hospital, right now I'm drinking all 64oz + without any problems. Best of luck on your recovery.
