  1. Happy 61st Birthday PTinUtah!

  2. I went to get a fill on Dec.11 ever since then I have felt sort of nauseated and bloated and small amount of pain in tummy. I haven't had any trouble with liquids or eating. (I have been careful since the fill, having just liquids and then soft food and eating slow). I have not thrown up. I just feel yukky. Will this pass? Anyone else have this?

    Holy Protein Cow! Cottage Cheese!

After my surgery in March 08, I ate cottage cheeze everyday, I'm not sure why I stopped. Maybe I got bored with it. Thanks for all the ideas everyone. Im going to start eating it again with some of your great ideas
  4. Hey Chris! WOW! your a real inspiration, how much have you lost? are you at your goal yet? I agree with you about the band being a great gift, I worked this last summer at Yosemite National Park in Ca. it was sorta easy to fight temptations because no restaurants or fast food joints to speak of. Now that Im back in Utah Im finding its a little more of a challange, but Im dealing with it pretty well. I still have 35 more pounds to lose. I am getting lots of compliments (I love it!!!) and I feel great. Keep up the good work!!!

  5. Congrats Pam!!! I am doing great too!! I have done 7 triathlons and 7 5Ks this summer. I will be doing the Death Valley 1/2 Marathon on 12/6/08. That is my Bandiversary as well!! I am still not on a diet! I eat what I want, when I want. Now I have the control to know when I've had enough. My band is the greatest gift I've ever given myself!!!

  6. HI I lost your message, but Im going to answer you anyway. I live in Utah also. I had the band on March 23, 08 by Dr Simper, I just had my 3rd fill

I have lost 65 pounds, I have 35 to go to get to the Dr.s Idea of how much I should weigh.

    what agout you?

  7. cant wait to watch your progress, good luck

  8. Hi Pam! Tell me something about you. Thanks for the Friends invite!!!

I tried alot of chili during my mushie stage and I have to say Wendy's was the best tasting. Hmmm that sounds good right now!!!!
  10. Hi there and congrats! you really need to read on here alot, Im doing pretty good I had surgery on march 23th and have not been to the doctor yet, its a long story, so I have not had a fill yet. Im slipping too somewhat I have been eating fresh fruit and no veggies to speak of for a while. I have lost about 25 to 30 lbs. I dont have a doc appt. until july 14th. a long time with no restriction. Good wishes to you. Pam

    Pain ball?

Tracy, you will be fine. I didn't have a pain ball, Ive never heard of it actually. I took percacets for 3 days I don't think they helped at all. Thats when most of my pain was, is in the first 3 days. My lungs hurt so bad I could take a deep breath. Im out 10 days now and the thing that is bothering me the most is the places on my tummy where the tape was and incisions are. Stinging itching and burning. Wish that would stop anyway congrats on your surgery.
  15. I hope your feeling better by now. Im sorry I couldnt be the support that you needed. I hade my surgery a week ago. Im doing ok but I have to be on oxygen for a while.
