    Chronic Constipation

I am with you @Klaselsyd! In fact I am in the fetal position as we speak because the cramps and shooting pains from the constipation are so bad. This happens once a week when I take ducolax to try and get things moving. My doc just prescribed me a daily medication to take for the time being. We'll see how that goes! Good luck to you!

Surgery is in 3 days OMG!

Good luck to all! Yes you will lose weight and it will be relatively fast! It is not an easy ride but it will be worth it!
  4. Oh I know your pain! I had RNY on 2/22 and it felt like a heart attack at times! (Or at least what I imagine a heart attack to feel like). Keep walking! You have to let the gas out and it needs to be absorbed back into the muscle and tissue. Walking is the absolute best thing you can do and as an additional helper use the Gas-X strips. My gas lasted almost a week but got better each day. PS during this pain don't forget to drink your fluids because the last thing you want is to become constipated once you introduce protein back in. Good luck to all of you!

    An Unbelievable Day: JOY...!

I have loved reading your posts from the very beginning! You had your procedure a couple weeks before me and you have motivated me every day since. This post makes me so happy for you and so hopeful in general! Congratulations! You have so much to look forward to! Keep up the great work!

    Sounds possible. Thanks James.

    Bad news

I'm sorry this happened but think of the weight you lost over the last two weeks! You are that much more prepared for 3/29! It will be here before you know it and this will be a memory you share with other "newbies" someday. Keep thinking about the summer and how awesome you will look and feel! Good luck!
  8. Hi everyone! I am 4 weeks post-op. Going to my stage 3 class on Tuesday to begin solid food (with several stipulations) however I am always nauseous with the pureed food. It doesn't matter what it is. If I eat more than a tablespoon I am sick. Has this happened to anyone else and if so did it get better?

OK... so be honest with me...

I second your comment @rking. Thanks for the laugh Dub and your honest feedback. That is what's needed here, not this back and forth drama.
  10. you are doing awesome and you look great! Keep up the good work! I am 2 weeks post op, these types of posts keep me motivated! [emoji4]

Surgery Today - dealing with gas pain

I had my surgery on 2/22 and I totally feel for you! Keep walking! It's the best way to get it to break up. Mine lasted 6 days but it does go away! Hang in there and good luck!

    Super Nose?!

i feel like you just described my exact same experience...I mean every last word you said happened to me during the swallow test! I am super hypersensitive to smell and it makes me nauseous in most cases! I hope it doesn't last forever! Good luck to you!
  14. I had one 4oz shake yesterday and did just fine. Today I will up it to four 4oz shakes. I'm hoping it will be no issue because I feel like this will breathe life into me again! Feeling so sluggish. It's been 12 days with with nothing but Water and broth (which now makes me gag). No complaints though! It will all be worth it in the end
  15. @@cookarue you look great! You've come so far already! Try focusing on how you feel health wise and get out of your own head because it sounds as though you are your biggest critic. Ride the progress you have made because you have a lot to be proud of!
