It's Time reacted to OutsideMatchInside in How do you view overweight people now that your thin?

Well weight has nothing to do with being healthy. I have dated guys that are normal weights but they don't eat healthy and they aren't active. I date a guy that is really active, slightly over weight (he is tall so he is just a big guy) and he has excellent taste in food (I love a foodie). I never dated over weight guys when I was overweight but I am more willing to date someone slightly overweight now, if they are active. When you get to men over 40, things get a little weird. You find a lot that are naturally thin, but don't take care of themselves at all. So how they look has nothing to do with their lifestyle.
Luckily I'm self centered so I really rarely think about other people unless they are somehow attached to me. I don't care about random fat people. The fat people I know personally are happy being fat and aren't serious about losing weight. The only thing that annoys me about fat people is them asking me about losing weight but they have no intentions of following through so they are just wasting my time.
I'm not interested in being around anyone with a fat mentality. It is like being a recovering heroin addict and hanging out in a drug den.

Positive it's good to have someone (or a group) to share this with. We all struggle in some way and with support I think it will get better with time. I definitely understand the body dysmorphia thing and have just decided that it comes with the territory. Congrats on the size 4/6 that's a huge achievement, try not to be so hard on yourself

I started a vegan lifestyle as soon as i got my surgery. Did not told this to my surgeon. I know he wouldn't approved. It has been a little difficult to keep a good balance.
    So far i have learn:
EAT YOUR GREENS...at least 5 times a week!! at least 2 cups of kale or spinach or some other leafy greens take a vegan Vitamin supplement, I use Deva Tiny Tablets No isolated oils... I use nut butters, and all sort of seeds and nuts. But totally avoid as much as i can isolated oils. The only one i may use 1 time a week is the coconut oil. eat whole grains, oats, brown rice, whole wheat you name it! every day!! fall in luv with all types of potatoes, sweets, yams etc.... I have no limits and eat them as much as i can. I use only organic soy milk!! it has lots of Protein... no problem with fruits and veggies... eat them with freedom no process sugars... instead I mixed some stevia with unprocess brown sugar and use that instead, to use less sugar as possible. But also use lots of dates instead. follow Dr. Gregers Daily Dozen app! this will safe your life! dont be afraid of carbs ... they are your friends just keep it whole food, low or no oil or process sugars. and stay away from process vegan food.. is full with additives, salt, sugars and oils. follow all this and every thing will be great.

Positive congrats on the new job...I know that our group has gone quiet but I still login and lurk often as it helps keep me focused, so I'm always around if you need support
It is very easy to get caught in old habits but it's amazing that you immediately notice and correct it
The new plan sounds like a winner, at least to get your body off of the bad food items... Keep pushing forward and stay the course...you got this

Hey 2/9ers HAPPY THURSDAY - so let's talk about a non scale victory, I purchased a pair of size 14 jeans for future wear lol and guess who fit in them perfectly with some room to spare wooohoooooo - this may not sound like big news to some but it is big news to me...I am a woman with curves and I have ummmm a good share of rear end hahahahaha so jeans and I have a love hate relationship - typically I purchase them a few sizes bigger because of my curves so to get in those 14's wooooohooooo - that is all for now, anyone else have a victory to share scale/non scale

Laurie Protein is key, you should be getting 80 grams + per day, try increasing by adding a Protein Shake or something. When I worked out heavy my weight stopped and I started gaining, so I backed off and the scale started moving...sometimes we have to change things up and trick our bodies

Hi Laurie, remember everyone's journey is different and 58 pounds is a loss, so it's great...why do you think your doing something wrong? What are you eating and drinking, how many calories/protein/carbs and are you exercising? Stay the course and know that support is here, let me know how I can possibly help
JennsJourney congrats on 112 pound loss and being close to onderland, that is awesome. I hadn't been losing hair previously but have started losing some and as it is with everyone, it's alarming. I am doing OK, I wish the scale would consistently move but she does what she wants. I went out of town this weekend and managed to not gain any weight so yayyyy there. I am practicing my patience skills and just going with the flow of this journey

Life is too short to have fks to give regarding other people's opinions of you. Frighteningly too short and getting shorter every day. The less time you have, the less you care about what other's think. People will get over it or they will not-neither has a darn thing to do with you! When I got a divorce and stepped out, by God, I didn't have time to wait on them all to catch up!
Same with WLS I suppose. Don't care what other's think. My give a fk cup is empty!
When people talk, they get bored and move on quickly. Bi can be a 'bad word" and growing up, lesbian was the a dirty word. I spent WAYY too much time thinking about *The Label*. Gawd, the label?? Really? I spent more time worrying about what some girl would think about my butt size, than exploring my ever-present desires. I honestly thought that lesbians would be more judgy about my body and that I wouldn't be able to distract them with sex. Hahahahaha. I know what I think when I see a naked girl, and it isn't "her butt is fat!", more along the lines of, "Yea! Boobs and I am about to have sex!". I would have saved SO much time if I had given up on the 'supposed to's' and the labels. To do it over again and really, really not GAF I would be almost an unstoppable force. My "label" is gay or queer or I simply say, "I only date women", if others address me as lesbian or whatever, I take it, no worries. To say Lesbian to me, negates the 13 year relationship I had with my my exH, it negates the small, small possibility that I might one day date a man again. Not saying I was only with him during our marriage, I am not saying I was totally happy with him and did not think about other women, but we did have a life, a child and I am not going to erase that.
But, to do it again. I would go for it earlier, much earlier. Been stronger for change in my life faster. Pull the bandaid off. Feeling kinda pervy for being SO attracted to women, as I am noticing the ones' the age I SHOULD have gotten a divorce and here I am a bit older.. Ha.

Lmao!!!! Omg this is so true!!! My biggest fear with women was that they wouldn't find me attractive and hello small boob land over here. And my shape is round so I just figured, who would think I'm cute, or even want to have sex with me when there are so many other women out there with a kick ass body! But then I realized ummm dummy why do you like imperfect girls if imperfect girls are so unloveable? I have never dated a female that was thin, actually I take that back I did date a thinnish girl but it has never been about being thin or thick for me so I don't know why I thought other women wouldn't find me attractive! There is more to a person than their looks, though I have to say my girlfriend is pretty hot . I am really happy now and my battles with depression are long gone. I am simply happy.

Taxudown- I lived on Isopure Protein, Premier Protein, chicken broth, Popsicles ..... Because I got bored with regular chicken broth I started purchasing ramen noodles and drinking the broth only....I also would have Tomato Soup from time to time....hope that helps, let me know if you have any other questions
