    Congrats!!!!!
  2. Wow. How awful to wake up to find your surgery wasn't completed! Why weren't they able to complete it? Will you be using a different surgeon? I'd definitely do it again if the surgeon felt confident that things would go smoothly this time around. Another surgery is a small price to pay for a lifetime of health. Best wishes to you!
  3. It's hard to wrap your mind around it, but you really don't have to say goodbye to everything - just (maybe) I'll see you later. Many of the things on your list you can have! We eat at BWW often. I usually now get the naked tenders though. Middle eastern? Still can be really healthy -skip the rice. I used to love so many of the things on your list, but they become less appetizing in time. I promise. And some things, I've had small bites of. Usually, it's not worth it. Wishing you all the best. And have some of that Mac and cheese for me! [emoji38]

    Help

Yes, it's a very common issue. My dr recommended Colace (up to 4 a day) and Miralax as needed. You might want to call your dr and see what they recommend. Constipation is no joke on this journey!! It does get better post op once you can incorporate some fruits and veg back into your diet
  5. Hi. Im down about 100 pounds since my highest. We are currently driving homegrown a week in Disney, where I walked miles and miles. Never wanted to stop, never had to take pain meds, never even gave a thought to what kind of seat the ride had or worried about who my ride partner would be and if we would fit. I never turned down an adventure because I was too tired. I'm off all prescriptions now and have a ton more energy. This adventure is soooooo worth it!!

    Ugh. No filter family! >:(

Family wedding last night. I felt amazing - have lost about 100 pounds and was having the time of my life. Saw an aunt I haven't seen since the start of my journey. She tells me I look amazing, then asks if she can ask a personal question... "Is your husband going to have the surgery, too? I'm afraid he'll have a heart attack" Seriously????? Yes, he's a big man, but he's also a big boy and capable of making his own decisions. Such a downer to our night. Would I like him to lose weight for his health? Absolutely. But he is fully aware of the surgery and what goes into it. It's ultimately his decision. I love and support him regardless. Grrr

Ha!! Too funny!!! My uncles just told me I looked fabulous!!
  12. It's a shame that education on appropriate diets isn't universal across all surgical plans. Sorry you felt bad, but glad you didn't do any permanent damage and lesson learned. I would stick to soft soft foods and no rice for a long time. I'm 7 months out and still don't eat rice. It's just not what I want to put in my body.

Exactly! He has been the perfect husband through this all - so supportive, never negative, complimenting in the way that makes you feel amazing without feeling like he thought you were hideous before, so proud of me, supporting my decisions.. He deserves the same respect.
  15. Wow. You've been through so much. Best of luck and here's to your health!
  16. That's what I had. No issues at all!

    Anyone in education getting sleeved?

You need to do this for you. Don't even think about work. I had mine planned for last July. Scheduling would have been ideal. Instead, I had to have a hysterectomy for uterine cancer. Thankfully, my cure was the surgery, but it put off my sleeve, obviously. I rescheduled and took a week off before Christmas. It was no problem and I could have gone back after a week or 2, but had 3 off.
  18. Oh yes. I put my caramel premier protein shake in my coffee this morning as creamer and it was ah-mazing!!!!!!!!
  19. Yes @Valentina. I have prescriptions for Nystatin powder and cream and am sure to document all my issues each time I see the doctor so that insurance will have a good record for plastics one day.

    Hidradenitis Supporitiva ?

Ugh. That sucks. Are you pre op? I was given a liquid soap, prescription roll on type liquid and doxycycline by my dermatologist for that last outbreak. It lasted almost a year! Hoping you get some relief!!

    Hidradenitis Supporitiva ?

I have milder issues with HS (typically in the underarm area). I had a fairly active one on my side (bra line) at the time of surgery. It has cleared to completely and no other issues since *knock wood*.
  24. That's so wonderful! You look amazing!!
