    Olive Garden NOT accomadating!!

geez..the company makes enough money to just let someone order off the kids menu. i would write a letter to their home office. i have found most restaurants are accomodating, i've yet to have been told no. im waiting for the day tho. lol. but yea, so dumb, bc they lost out..they couldnt let u pay for a what..$6-8 meal..instead they'd rather not take ur money? ugh..this fustrates me.

  9. hii. i too, have come to a halt. i was banded march 13th. things were great that first month. i've had 2 fills thus far..but nothing. i just started weight watchers last week and did pretty good. lost 5lbs in a week..so that could be a suggestion. i just keep track of the points..dont do the meetings or pay for it ya kno. but then i got my period and that went out the window..but now that its over i'm gettin right back on track,,started today..so hoping i lose another 5 this week. also, do try the walking. i walk 5-6 times a week for 45 minutes. at first i really had to force myself to go, but now i love it, i feel great afterwards and really look forward to it. i like looking at peoples houses..thats a good motivator. well hope i helped and good luck to you!! take care xoxo Jenna

    second fill

ok, so i wanted to post about my second fill. i had 1.2 ccs put in during the first and a month later for the second there was only .6ccs in there. i was told this is normal during th 1st. so anyways, the second fill i got 1.6 put in. things seemed ok the first few days, but after that, i pb EVERY day. it was horrible. really bad pain. i guess it was me just still training myself with smaller bites and more thorough chewing. but i think i got the hang of it now and am making another appointment for a third fill. went to the dr. today and said everything seems great and wrote me a script for it, so i guess i'll be making the appointment tomorrow for the beginning of june. i wana hit that sweet spot so bad. oh and today was the second day on weight watchers, i really stuck to my points today and even fit in my hour power walk. feeling great and so proud of myself today. yay

    Weight watchers - Anyone else?

i just joined and started today. i was a member last yr and lost 25 lbs in a few months, but just lost track of it. but i went and got back into it now with the band. my points allowance is 35..but i found that i cant even make it past 25..which is good. the rule tho is, if u dont use all ur points in a day, u lose them. never carry them over. always start with your set points allowance each day. hope u join, i love it..and its great motivation to get the magazine!! i'll stay posted on my ww and band journey. Cheers, Jenna

    been a long time..switchin dr.s

wow, i havent written in my blog in such a long time. so much as happened, gonna take a few posts to catch up. alright i'll start where i left off... 1st fill experience.. well 6 weeks after surgery i went and got my 1st fill. it was quite amazing. she only put in 1.2 ccs, i have a 5cc band. i was told the 1st fil was covered thru insurance, well the 1st 90 days. (this lady doesnt take insurance, we (my mom) have to pay out of pocket and then submit it to insurance..such a hassle) so anyways come to find out after i get the fill..that that isnt covered, somethin else is, i forgot what. so i had to pay out of pocket for this..like $200. my mom was livid, and we decided we couldnt afford to keep doing this. before i got the fill i had to go to a radiology place for the esophogram, i found out there that they do fills as well...somethin to keep in mind. so we were goin to stop going to this lady and find someone else. my mom called a bunch of dr.s but no one will touch me because they didnt put the band in, a little odd to me. so i felt it was time for another fill a month later, cuz i didnt have any results. so i made an appointment with that radiology place and that went perfect, they took insurance and i didnt even have a co-pay..mine is usually $20. so that was awesome. we called my family dr. and told him the situation, he said he would look over me and write the scripts for the fills. i feel this is better, but at the same time, this lady i was seeing concentrates mainly on the band and knos her stuff. so i feel a little weary about not seeing any specialist, but i just couldnt afford it if i continued with her..plus i didnt like her and she never remembered me, i always had to get her up to speed on where we left off. that was a little uncomfortable as well. but yea, so thats my story about switching dr.s. i'll post some more on other things later. ta ta for now.

    nerves...

hi dragonflygirl. yea my surgery went great for me. i had mine at 9:00a, took about 45 mins. then i went back to the room, had some water, ice chips, and jello. no nausea or pain at all. they gave me lots a morphine lol. and i was discharged by 1:00p that day, just a few hours. so it went beautifully. i only started feelin the pain the next day, my stomach was really sore. gas pains werent too bad either. had it mostly in the shoulder. i felt much better after the 3rd day and was out driving and at my friends house. so im a week out today and feel normal, except for a little pain by the port in my stomach, its very minor though. more like discomfort than pain. but as for the catheter..no i did not have one. the only prep i got was some heparin the blood thinner to prevent blod clots right before surgery and that was it. good luck to u and hope to hear all about ur journey!!
