It's official--I'm getting sleeved by Dr. Macik at Northside on September 30. I can't wait. I was born at Northside, and here I am getting sleeved there 37 years later.

Well it's been a year and 154.9 pounds later I am a size 0 or 2, a small sometimes extra small. ME a small......unbelievable! This surgery is the best thing I ever did for myself. Not easy by any stretch of the imagination but well worth every second.

Going to Ashley Stewart to buy their smallest size pair of jeans (12) and they are a little too big. I still haven't come to the realization that I don't have to shop there anymore...

I just bought two pairs of size ten pants! I'm only 8 weeks post op! Size six you will be mine soon!

This is my first post!!! I have completed all of my requirements and all the paperwork was submitted to insurance on Tuesday.. I am anxiously awaiting word!!! I will be sleeved with Dr. Hart at Emory Johns Creek!!!

This has been happening with me and one of my close friends too... but I do feel sad about it. I think the reason is because we had really bonded over our weight, food, and weight loss efforts. What I mean is we used to go out to eat together a lot when we weren't dieting, and when we were, we attended weight watchers together, and often walked after worked together to try to lose weight. She has actually now put on quite a few pounds while I've lost. I'm sure she doesn't feel very good, and I know how terrible that struggle is. I've told her about VSG but her insurance doesn't cover. There's a definite wedge now... it's sad.
