  1. I went to my favorite mexican restaurant and ate a burrito, rice, tons of chips and 3 large margaritas!

    Dehydration

Thank you all for the tips! I have downloaded the app so I can be reminded to sip my water. I am glad I had this done but it has not been an easy time.
  3. I am 3 weeks out and liquids are still so hard for me to get down. I know I am nowhere near where I need to be fluid wise. I went in to my reg dr yesterday for a bp check and talked to her about the difficulties I am having. She said my bp was great but my feet and legs were retaining fluid and I looked dehydrated. I told her that I have my apt with surgeon tomorrow for check up and labs. She said she would be suprised if they don't admit me for fluids. Have any of you have this happen? If so, did you just go in for a bag of fluids or did you have to stay the night? I am really trying hard to sip constantly today but it just makes me so sick to my stomach! To top all this off, I have only lost 13 pounds since surgery. I know I was on the lighter side to begin with but I really thought I would have lost more....

    Exhaustion

I had my surgery the same day as you and I am battling exhaustion as well. Hopefully within a few more weeks and we will be over this hump.
  5. I flew to St. Thomas exactly 2 weeks post op and had no trouble. I just made sure I didn't carry heavy bags and took my protein shakes with me. Good luck!
  6. I am day 14 out and got to start with the mushy foods. Tonight I had a few bites of humus and I feel awful! It was over an hour ago and my tummy is crampy and feel bloated. Nasty feeling! Is this normal when you advance your diet? I think tomorrow I will go back to liquids again.
  7. I am almost two weeks post op and I still have swelling in my tummy. How long does it usually take to all go down?
  8. This was so much better than my c-section! I had terrible pain for quite a while with c-section, with my rny I used the pain pills the 1st three days and that's it.
  9. I have been experiencing lots of fatigue too. I had my surgery on the 28th. My house is a mess as I will do a chore and then have to rest a few min. I am walking but after that, I'm useless. So ready to feel normal!!
  10. I too am having the sam issues. My dr started me on Miralax. I started taking it yesterday and still nothing. I had my surgery last Monday and have just gone a very little bit once. Definitely not fun...

    Surgery in September

@@dannieeliza I have been drinking the Premier Protien and the Unjury chocolate splendor. I like the smoothness of the premade premier protein but its 11oz I think and I have yet to get all my protein in with that. Yesterday I mixed up 8 oz of the unjury and liked it. I was able to get my protein in yesterday for the first time. I drank my first one the first half of the day and then sipped on my second late afternoon through the evening. I will be SO happy to be able to try egg or something else for protein!! I am sick of these shakes!! How are you doing?

    Surgery in September

I had my RNY on the 28th. Doing fairly well. Pain is pretty much gone except for the occasional sharp pain on my left side that lasts a few min and then gone. I am having a tough time getting all of my protein and fluid requirements in. I hate that protein shakes! I can't wait until I can have cold things and something other than liquid! Hope everyone is doing well!
  13. I had my surgery on Monday and today I still feel awful. I have asked myself why I put myself through this several times today. My left side is killing me, I have zero energy and I have this awful taste in my mouth. The worst thing is how big and bloated my stomach is. It looks almost double than it was preoperative. Yesterday I got 40 g or protein down, today I am already at 40 so hoping I reach my goal today. All I want to do is sleep. I have been walking around the house and outside many times a day. I just want to feel human again.. Thanks for listening to my pity party!

    Surgery in September

I had my surgery in the 28th and discharged the following evening. I have been doing better on my sips at home. When I woke up this morning, the gas pain was terrible. After moving around the house and some gas x, it got much better. I hope that those of you that had yours this week are doing well!
