They were true false questions. Some about family, different jobs, anger management and food issues. You just have to make sure you read it good. No biggie. Mine showed I had anger issues. Nothing major.

I own my own business so I haven't really had any time off. But I will add that there are several tasks that I have not tackled yet because, though physically I can handle the work, mentally I am not back up to par. I am putting off any financial tasks or detailed work. This has been my biggest battle. The low amount of calories and quite possibly some residuals from anesthesia are making me mentally slower than I am used to. I am in week three or post-op and had my first day today of soft food stage. I had a soft scrambled egg for Breakfast, a Protein Shake mid-morning, lunch was 3 oz baked tilapia in 1/3 cup Tomato bisque, for supper I had the same as lunch followed by a cup of hot chamomile tea with honey. I ended the day with 674 calories; 74 gr of protein; and 90 oz of liquid.

My friend had the surgery 9.10.2014 (I'm thinking about it) and has lost 70 lbs. She works in a federal prison. She said since the weight loss, she has received more attention, people listen to what she has to say and is treated with so much more respect than before and SHE IS STILL THE SAME PERSON. Its sad to think people are so shallow it just proves what we have known all along...fat people are discriminated against! And Im not talkiing about more attention from the inmates! lol

Can anyone tell me about their experience when they went for their psych eval? Does it have to be done by a psychologist? Has anyone had it done by a LPC? Thanks.

Every day is a new day to pick your self up and start again! I'd focus on why you decided to get the surgery and what you want to achieve. I always try to remind myself of that along with reminding myself I has a hugely invasive surgery... and for what? To achieve my goals. Just remember that the sleeve can't do all the work and we still have to exercise some self restraint and follow the doc's instructions to get the best results out of the tool we've been given!

I took off 3.5 weeks. You need one week just to balance food and Water again. You might be weak and tired from adjusting to such little calories. I am a week out and I could go back to a fast paced job, but want to let my body get to phase 3 foods, so I have more calories and energy in me.

I know it's hard not to care what other people think but that is the kind of attitude you need. The bottom line is this is your life and your decision. Skinny people who have always been that way have no idea the kind of challenges an obese person deals with. If I do have it, I probably won't tell but a few people and its not because of embarrassment, its because i am a private person, always have been. I'm having surgery next week and only a few people know. If anyone asks me, i wont hesitate to tell them. Maybe that is what you should do...don't volunteer the information but if anyone asks, just tell them.
