Tobeornottobe got a reaction from 7TimesBlessed in Husband not supportive
That sucks that your spouse isn't supportive. I didn't have that problem. My S.O. was extremely supportive, went to every appointment with me and sat in the hospital with me although I told him to go home and the doctor would call him.
Maybe you can invite him to attend a seminar with you. It could be motivated by fear. Fear of the unknown is scary for most people.

Just wanted to add Naked Pea Protein 27 grams of Protein. I bought it from Amazon 5 pounds (76 servings) for about $54. The great thing is since it has no sweeteners it can be used in sweet and savory dishes.
The pea protein I used before was awfully expensive.

First, congrats on your weight loss.
Second, she may be genuinely concerned. When our loved ones are used to seeing us a certain size and we start losing, we may indeed look sickly to them.
I guess it can also be a bit of jealousy as well since you said she needs to lose weight. Maybe you can use this as a opportunity to bring it up to her.
    Again, congrats!!!

I felt strong enough. I didn't push myself too hard and only started back to lifting weights this week. My doc saw no harm as long as I was careful. I was also told no weight over ten pounds and no ab work. I have been doing high rep low weight so nothing over ten pounds.
I may be a little nuts lol

My worst experiences would have to be with the bariatric coordinator at the office. She would not return phone calls or emails and if you were able to catch her, she acted like it was a HUGE bother to answer your questions. I finally got fed up enough to threaten to report her to the office manager. Things got a bit better after that. When I was in the hospital waiting, my surgery was delayed and no one informed me as to what was going on. I finally lost it on one of the nurses who apologized profusely. The anesthesiologist was a bit of an ass who did not acknowledge my presence. The nurses were pretty great except one. I was in extreme pain and it was past the time for my pain meds. I called and she told me she would be back in 5 minutes. Thirty minutes later, she still wasn't back. I ended up getting a new nurse for the duration of the shift.
The best: the surgeon did an amazing job. I had minimal pain from gas (walking as soon as I was able after surgery and as often as possible) and minimal pain from the incisions. I have not had any issues with throwing up. I was back to exercising and back to work within a week. I would deem it a success. Please note: I'm only a month out.
The most annoying the On-Q pump which i was grateful for in hindsight and the Lovenox shots (needle phobic).

    Lettuce does offer some nutrients.
This food is low in Saturated Fat and Sodium, and very low in Cholesterol. It is also a good source of Riboflavin, Vitamin B6, Calcium, Magnesium, Phosphorus and Copper, and a very good source of Dietary Fiber, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin K, Thiamin, Folate, Iron, Potassium and Manganese.

The portions in Europe are generally smaller than American portions. The quality of ingredients and the food are generally better as well. I don't think you really have much to worry about. Relax and enjoy your trip.

Tobeornottobe reacted to dhrguru in Excess Skin: And the Emotional, Thick Skinned Woman
I'm down a 100# with 60 to go to my personal goal. I have loose skin in the typical places. For where I am thus far, I'm ok with how it looks. I don't wear Spanx cause I hate them, and really don't think things are so bad that I need them. Considering, asides from the fact I can't afford it anyway, I have no intentions for skin surgery. 1) I'm not willing to put my family through the risk and potential complications... Rny was enough. 2) my scars always keloid, no way could I live with that's much scarring/keloid.
I saw the skin tight episode and was really disturbed by how unhappy she was. It seemed abnormal to me. And even afterward, she didn't seem to be that happy, she came across to me as a person with no joy.
I do love to see the before/after of those who do have the surgery, but I'll have to just live though those people!
