I like it when I'm doing it but its hard to get started. If I'm having a particularly hard time getting going, I tell myself I will do something for 10 minutes. If I still don't want to after that, I can stop. However, 9 times out of 10, by the time I hit 10 minutes I feel good and want to keep going.

I have gone crazy with expensive face products, teeth whitening and makeup, which this old tomboy was never into before. When I was young, youth was enough, and when I was fat, I felt there was no sense decorating a gourd. Now that youth is a memory but I'm not so overweight, I find I want to try to look pretty but need the help of products (at which I am inept at using. Thank heavens for YouTube).

For those of you who smoke a joint to relax to sleep, do you have any grogginess when you wake up? (showing my ignorance, I know.) I currently use tramadol to sleep and while it does help, I can wake up so groggy so I don't use it all the time, and I do have trouble sleeping. Ambien never helped. I used Xanax for a while and that helps too, but my GP doesn't like me to use too much (I have no idea which is considered more "dangerous"). Melatonin is hit or miss.
Some of you know I have Lyme and the pain can be intense and intractable. My Lyme dr is a closet advocate of medical use of marijuana (but as a lyme dr he has enough problems with state agencies for his off protocol use of antibiotics so he doesn't mention his POV unless he knows how you'll react). Some of the antibiotics I have to take now cause a lot of nausea and the versions that don't are MUY expensive and not covered by insurance.
I've had a prescription for percocet for about 15 years from a back injury. I take it when I need it but can go months at a time not needing it. It can make me nauseated and it itches like crazy (so I have to take a benadryl too). I live in the DC area and once, at the time the beltway sniper was active, I was so nauseated from the percocet and in pain from the ruptured disk I had to pull over and hurl, but all I could think of was I hope this guy doesn't shoot me while I'm barfing into the weeds.
I guess I'm trying to get a feel for how marijuana would fit in with different pain levels, ability to sleep and be wide awake the next day, and nausea.

For me, one of the BEST of many great things about this surgery is that I'm not focused on food every minute of the day. I'm not hungry in the way I used to be. Yeah, I get hungry but not so much I'm willing to eat the carpet anymore; I can slow me down and go for the healthy stuff. And then when I do eat, its so much less than before. For sure, it still takes work, but its been a miracle for me even so.
    Good luck to you!

Is it egg itself or the texture? Maybe you could make an egg custard? Or mix ricotta and some no sugar pudding powder? Also the Bariatric Eating (bariatriceating.com) website had a slew of great recipes. Also Pinterest.

I'm tallish - 5'8"- but I have a wing span of 6ft (I'm like a gorilla). I can't ever find anything long enough for my arms. I have a relatively small chest, so all that extra fabric makes me look untailored (and I can't sew more than a button). On the other hand, my upper arms are fat so I need a bigger shirt so I can even move my arms. Which brings me back round to the extra chest fabric. My legs are comparatively small but my waist is big, so I can't find pants either. Argh. I do have tiny little pixie feet.
And also: I HATE that stores are so hot. Who wants to try on clothes when its hot?! And I hate how packed together the clothes are in most stores. I understand about $ per foot, but I think many stores go overboard and do themselves a disservice with this. When things get messy no one cares to try to keep stuff organized.

In my case, he's very self confident (and trim and handsome) and doesn't worry about other guys so no jealousy issues. But, I think there are considerations other than weight loss, and you have to work on how you'll approach them. For example, I didn't expect my family to have to eat what I am eating. However, my husband agreed that he'd cook (he's a terrible cook, but can make tacos) for the fam while I was in the liquids stage. At the same time (around Christmas) I sucked it up and went to family events where I was the only one drinking premier Protein - even in restaurants, but for the most part, when we can make the choices, we pick a restaurant where I'll have options. We play poker with M&M chips and I had to be prepared to participate because its a big deal in our family. He didn't attend any info or support stuff with me and though it would have been nice, I know him and this was not something he'd be comfortable with. But he made sure I could attend whatever I needed to - worked out his schedule for me - and did/does laundry and shopping and dishes etc as much as I do, particularly when I was less able (surgery and recovery).
He never said word one about the weight; just that he wanted me to be happy and healthy. He's so happy I can do more stuff with the family again and so am I!
I always tell our kids, pick someone you find funny, who finds you funny - who GETS you - and build on that (and make sure they can laugh at themselves). God Bless the man, on the few occasions when we've seen a couple with an older guy and a hot young lady he has wondered aloud what they talk about. (Even if he doesn't mean it, having said it wins him husband points).

    @@UK Cathy
Hi, Cathy! Well, today was chemo treatment #4, and went smoothly. He once again has the pump with him until he has it removed on Thursday afternoon. His surgery has been rescheduled for sometime in September, due to the fact the Avastin he is on during chemo has to be out of his system before the surgery, so they figure it will take 4-6 weeks for that. He will more than likely have the PET scan just before the surgery.
Dave's spirits are good, his bloodwork remains good, he is only slightly anemic, but better than he was initially. His side effects are minimal, although this session was the worst for the nausea. The staff tell us this should lessen as his body adjusts to the chemo. sleep is sporadic for both of us, but adequate. Just wish we could get some more. Dave's difficulty is mostly with the pack he carries around for 3 days. It is challenging while in bed. All in all, he is doing great! What a blessing, and that, I am CONVINCED, is from all the prayers you and all our friends/family are sending up to the Great Almighty!
We are also blessed by the fact it has cooled down (finally!) here, down into the 80's. That makes everyone's mood a lot happier! I hope you are having a wonderful summer, and thanks so much for your prayers and concern. I just love you all!

No food funerals for me. I guess I felt it would give that/those foods too much power and I'd think about it/them all the time. I researched all the healthy goodies I'd make and tried them out on the FAM until I was cleared. That said, I'm no angel, but the habits I have trouble with are too much as opposed to wrong stuff. I am liking eating more healthy stuff and make it a game to see bow I can replicate stuff my family likes into healthier versions for me.
But if I knew the world were ending tomorrow I'd go have Mexican, Sangria and Beignets.
