  2. Sorry meant to write it could well be kidney stones. Damn autocorrect! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  3. If your diet has a high amount of Protein and /or your liquid consumption is low they couldn't we'll be kidney stones. I'm having my gallbladder removed in a couple of weeks thanks to stones after losing almost 160 lbs. luckily no symptoms yet but it's chock full of stones. Doc said it was better to do this electively than wait until it was an emergency. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  8. As I write this my daughter is in labor and our first grandchild is soon to make an appearance. This seems like the perfect culmination to a year of incredible change since my sleeve surgery. I;m down over 150 lbs from last year, as well as countless clothing sizes. I'm now making the transition from losing to living and the birth of a grandchild really underscores my amazing transformation. I started this process because my body couldn't handle my weight anymore and I was in pain and feeling helpless. I now feel alive and empowered. I read before surgery about how the after effects were felt in every aspect of your life and i doubted it could be so. Was I wrong.. New found confidence in life and the future are a wonderful bonus form successfully going through the process. I am ready for what will come and I know that my new grandson grandson (and future grandchildren) will greatly benefit from a more involved and active grandfather.

What was your favorite puréed food?

I loved pureed squash and pumpkin. Hummus was also a god send at that point. All three felt really comforting and the thicker consistency was great after the liquid stage. Corttage cheese was also a favorite. I would also blend chicken or beef and vegetable soups into a puree. As the previous poster said, experiment with different foods and textures until you find the one that works best for you. Good luck!
  10. Congratulations! Onederland is a great place to be, and don't worry, you'll be here for good!
  11. Congratulations on making it to the one's!
  12. This site and all its members have been a part of my journey since it began over a year ago. The people who seek justification for not following instructions bother me, especially when they get offended when reminded that eating an entire pizza the day after surgery might be a bad idea. But I also remember how crazy and confused the early days were and how reading about others' experiences gave me a notion of what I needed to do. This site, and its honestly, have been a blessing for me. Many are at their most vulnerable when seeking advice and hence the emotional over-reactions. One does get a sense,. however, of when a topic will be heading the wrong way and then you can just switch to the next one. I am definitely a fan of keeping things real.
