My name is Altal  I found BariatricPal while looking for a bariatric support group.  I had RNY surgery in July of 2002 and have managed to keep nearly 100 pounds off over the years but am totally out of control and lost my way.  I was down to 202 pounds  in 2003 but have crept up to 277.  I found myself very uncomfortable with myself when at 202 pounds but because my health is deteriorating, I need to seriously start my weight loss journey again.  I had totally given up on myself and eat all the things I know I shouldn't and none of the foods I know I should because it just takes too much effort.  I have become very lazy and depend on my husband to do the household chores I should be doing myself.  I am 5'5" and think my ideal weight should be between 170 and 180 pounds.  I desperately need a support group to help encourage me back to that mind set that makes losing possible.  My surgery was done by Dr. Robert Marema in Ft. Lauderdale because there was no one available in Melbourne at that time.  Because of the distance in going that far to the support groups, I haven't been to an actual meeting in years.  I am hoping this on-line support will help me.  I need a buddy who has lost over 100 pounds plus and managed to successfully keep it off.  I don't seem to know how this site works.  How do I find the buddy or advice?  Please e-mail me at alta@cfl.rr.com.
