    Wedding bands?

I made my own Ring Snuggies...out of Oxygen Tubing. I also fused it together by melting the plastic together....so it couldn't fall off. Many years ago...I got engaged (didn't make it down the aisle ...and took my ring into Zales...to have it sized...and the diamond was switch out. I could never prove it...but trust me...it was not the diamond we bought. So I refuse to have my wedding ring resized...even though my diamonds are laser inscribed.

    BMI 31-32

Hello all, Since my last post....little has changed. I still go up and down a couple pounds every now and then. Today I was 126#. The only significant change...due to weight loss...is I had a Breast Lift with a small implant...360cc. I thought...and my plastic surgeon...told me I'd gain a few pounds...but I didn't. Yay! Because I feel like I have 2 bowling balls on my chest! My boobs haven't looked this good...since I was 19yo. I am well into my 50's now....and feel fantastic! I hope all is well with each and everyone of you. Take care.

    Unsupportive partner

"If you settle for what you've got, then you deserve what you get" This quote sounds very harsh...but it's something I've lived by. Only *you* can make things change. YOU ARE WORTH BETTER!

    Running nose

Nope, you're not the only one. Took me forever to figure out why mine ran. It's like my nose is crying tears. Has something to do with the Vagus Nerve.....so I'm told.

    Coworker outed me

fraud \ˈfrȯd\ noun : the crime of using dishonest methods to take something valuable from another person : a person who pretends to be what he or she is not in order to trick people : a copy of something that is meant to look like the real thing in order to trick people Full Definition If you are asked "how are you losing your weight?" and you tell them "I'm eating less" or "smaller portions" WITHOUT including you had WLS....you are example #2. You are NOT skinny from *just* eating less...and that makes you a fraud....which = deceptive. When people find out they've been tricked....it tends to piss them off. If that's the world you live in....fine. I find that the truth is more admirable. There is no shame in WLS. And like I said before...you may just help someone by sharing your story. Oh!...and my horse is very short...it's a Shetland pony. So the fall is not so far. Never been hurt.

    Coworker outed me

Oh geez. I didn't mean the blurting out was okay because it was the truth! That part was kinda crappy...but I'm sure the reason she was outed...was because she was being shady and not telling the truth when asked. If you are going to play off like your weight loss is because you are eating less, then you better keep your mouth shut and not tell a single soul...you had surgery. Live your lie, alone. Other people (like myself and maybe the girl that outed her) won't lie or be deceptive...even for those that think it's okay. It's a moral thing for some....not everyone....but for some. That is where telling the truth is never wrong...it may hurt, it may be uncomfortable....but it IS the truth.

    Gall bladder after sleeve

I had my Gallbladder removed before my sleeve surgery....but after I lost 90 lbs on my own. I also had another procedure done the day before my gallbladder was removed...I had gallstones blocking my Bile Duct...and those had to be removed first. The surgery was a piece of cake...only spent two nights in the hospital...only because of the 2 procedures. The pain before removal...was unbearable! I didn't go anywhere without my Motrin. My magic number was 1600mg.

de·cep·tive dəˈseptiv/ adjective giving an appearance or impression different from the true one; misleading. "he put the question with deceptive casualness" synonyms: misleading, illusory, illusionary, specious; ambiguous; distorted; literaryillusive "distances are very deceptive" deceitful, duplicitous, fraudulent, counterfeit, underhanded, cunning, crafty, sly, guileful, scheming, treacherous, Machiavellian; disingenuous, untrustworthy, unscrupulous, unprincipled, dishonest, insincere, false; informalcrooked, sharp, shady, sneaky, tricky, foxy "deceptive practices" Not trying to beat a dead horse here...and if you don't agree...so be it...that is your prerogative. But telling ppl you are eating "smaller portions" and "high Protein, low carbs" is...MISLEADING, CUNNING, CRAFTY, SLY, SHADY. Albeit true...you are eating smaller portions...but only because you had a surgery. Therefore is the reason I used the adjective, "deceptive." She only blurted out the truth. Telling the truth...is never wrong. Be open with your experience...you never know who you might help...along the way. My .02 cents.
  9. Mine is...Sales Associates. Mostly in higher end retail stores. When I was heavier...and needed help...no one was ever around. Now that I am much thinner...I have sales people (men and woman) falling all over me. I can't take 5 steps without a sales person asking me..."is there anything I can help you with." I have lost and gained weight many times...and this is something I have noticed each time I lose weight. It makes me sad for my heavier self. And anyone else that is discriminated against like this. My income level does not change....with my weight.

Sorry...not sorry, lol. Only the truth was stated. You don't need to make an announcement regarding your surgery...but when *asked*...you should tell the truth. Anything less, is a lie....and deceptive.

VSG With Simultaneous Hiatal Hernia Repair

I too had a hernia repair. Other than feeling like I had food stacked from my chest to my throat...after I ate...I had no other issue. I've never had a reflex problem...so not sure why it was even done...but I was told my surgeon does it to everyone. I was also told my "stacking" issue would go away when the HH repair...'relaxed'....after a couple of months. And it has. Good luck to you.

The Proof is in the Pictures

Congrats, lvvsmun. You look beautiful in all three photos...albeit healthier in the last two. You and I are basically the same size....and when I look at your Dream Goal picture....my eyes are drawn to your Collarbone. It's always been something I've been drawn to in pictures, and in person. Just wanted to say...you have a great collarbone! Lol. Love mine too!

    BMI 31-32

The sleeve will eliminate your overeating. You just simply CAN NOT eat the same amount of food you do now....for emotional reasons or not. I could out-eat most everyone I know (I loved the taste of food and had zero will power) and now...I just simply can't...nor want to. Don't try to over think this...it will be easier than you think. At least this was my experience. I hope it will be as easy for you, too.

    BMI 31-32

My BMI on surgery day was 26 (?)... I am 5' 6" and on surgery day I weighed 161 lbs. I had no comorbidities. My insurance company paid for my surgery. At first I was denied...but my doctor fought for me....then I was approved. I have the denial letter and the approval letter....they are dated 9 days apart. On my initial doctor visit my BMI was 37...but between that date and my surgery date...I lost approx 50 lbs on my own. I had my surgery 6-27-14....by October, 2014...I had reached my goal weight of 130. And now, I go up a pound...down a pound. Today I was 126. I couldn't be happier!

    Gallstones?

years before my sleeve...i lost 90lbs in 8 months. I believe this is what caused my Gallstone. I would have these terrible pain attacks like you describe. It felt like someone was driving a screwdriver into the middle of my back. The only thing that worked for me was 1600 milligrams of Motrin. In 20 mins I'd be totally pain free. My mom had a open scrip for her arthritis. I had stones blocking my bile duct too. I NEVER went anywhere without my Motrin. Had my Gallbladder removed and pain free ever since! My recovery was a piece of cake.
