I live in Chicago and i went to MIBC for my surgery i paid 15,000 for my surgery but i have a year of free fills... I know alot of people on this site went to Mexico for there surgery but i would never do it. I am a proud Mexican but i dont trust the doctors over there. I know i paid more for my surgery but i feel safer with having surgery in the U.S. Kim

Well i was really funny about showering too... to be honest i didnt shower for a day or so after surgery i know thats gross but hey all i was doing was laying around so its ok... When i would shower i would avoid my tummy... And no baths!!! lol.. Good luck and welcome to bandland!!!! Kim

Im a nanny of 2 boys one 3years and 2 months and I work part time as a Special Rec. Coach for kids and adults depending on the season i coach track and field or swimming or bowling..... and i did this all at almost 300 lbs... go figure!!!!!!! Kim

Im scared to be fat agian well im still considerd to be fat right now but never agian do i want to be flirting with the 300's agian. If i lost my band i would get the bypass in a heartbeat. I have 2 friends that have had it done one of my friends got pregnate too soon and her baby came out tiny and with complacations. I know the fisk of a gastric bypass but im willing to take it to be small. Somtimes i am sad that i have such a slow wieght loss. I want to be small so quickly. Kim

I had really bad last supper syndromebut my surgen had a "zero pound rule" that if i gained even one pound from the time i had my pre op test to the date of my surgery that he would not preform my surgery. So i ate my favorite food in very small amounts i had my eyes on the prize and i knew he was serious so i didnt binge too much. Good luck with surgery!!!!!!!! You going to look fab!!!! Kim

Well my girlfriend really didnt want me to get it done. We have been together for almost a year when I had my surgery and she wasnt totaly agianst it but she was scared of somthing bad happening to me while i was under the knife. I think it is somthing for your partner to get use to. Things change. And if your with a jelous person it makes there jelousy worse. Now my girlfriend has to deal with men and women making advances at me. So it is tough for her. I was worried that she wouldnt love me skinny. Well we will see i guess. well im still newly banded but i dont regret a thing!!! I look totaly differnt and im able to do so many new things.. The other day i went to a club and i was accused of having a fake i.d. it was a big hassle but after argueing with the the dumb cop and having to show my surgery marks it felt great knowing i dont look the same. Thats the thing that i dislike people are going to judge you for having surgery... Most see it as the "easy" way to lose wieght... I deal with it every day... Im 20 and everyone tells me oh your too young for surgery... Screw what your sister thinks go with whats best for you.. I had surgeryJuly 30 and i could care what people think.... Ive been questioning that too... today i ate a semi normal meal that was half of a lean pocket and alittle bit of turkey lunchmeat .. I have no idea if thats normal or what.... I felt full but i dont know how much is too much..... Kim
