Paul Hufnagl reacted to S@ssen@ch in costco favorite foods ..not protien shakes.
costco is my "go to" for all meat. It's reasonably priced, good quality, and tastes great. Fortunately, I have plenty of room in my freezer because they sell it in large quantities.
My favorite is the stuffed peppers from the deli section. They're easy to cook, convenient, taste great and make great leftovers! *They do have a little rice in them, but not enough to make a huge difference.

Paul Hufnagl got a reaction from Krimsonbutterflies in single sucks after surgery
This is more of a venting than anything else. I find being single now after I have lost alot of weight harder than before the surgery. I knew why I was single when I was heavy. I have not been on a date since loosing weight. I have tried single sites, going out dancing even trying to recruit friends at work. People tell me how well i'm doing and that I look good now but still no success. I have not always been heavy and dated plenty before I gained the weight so I know how to talk to the oppisite sex. has any one else been through this. before you say it I know.....just give it time but it still sucks.

Paul Hufnagl got a reaction from CammyC in single sucks after surgery
Thank you to every one sharing your stories, I know it's probably just a matter of time but I compare it to having a new sports car (well maybe not new) after you have been driving a junker for so long, you want to get out on the road and test it out.

I was telling everyone how good I was not drinking soda because of the carbination, then someone reminded me that red bull had carbination and i was adding it to vodka. I then put my soap box away.

Trader Joe's cheapest medium roast coffee works for me.

Paul Hufnagl reacted to lvidacovich in coffee problems
There's very little difference in acidity between dark and light roasts. You might wanna try cold brew.

Have you tried Whole Foods coffee? They have a bunch of dark roast and are surprisingly cheap .. 2lbs for $10. 😬 this is what I drink pre op... I hope I don’t get sick off of it after surgery (doc is fine with caffeine)

Paul Hufnagl got a reaction from FluffyChix in coffee problems
I normally go to starbucks to get my coffee and havn't had any problems. I decided to start brewing my own coffee at home and bought dunkin doughnuts original and can't tolerate it. I throw it up with out even finishing one cup three days in a row. The only thing i can think of is that starbucks is a darker roast and therefor has less acidity? any Ideas and has this happened to anyone else?

Paul Hufnagl reacted to sgc in Dating websites
Let's be honest, it depends on how attractive you are. It's also easier if you are female. All sites have good quality people. As an unattractive male, I used Bumble the most. I never get responses on eHarmony or Match so at least with Bumble I don't have to put in any effort and get the same results. The one site where women actually approached me was OkCupid but those were transgenders and dominatrix.
Ultimately, the best site is petfinder.com. Found my soulmate there.

Paul Hufnagl reacted to FluffyChix in So happy with weightloss but exhausted
Fu*k! I'm eighteen months and take in on average this week about 1000cals per day. I'd be exhausted too with that schedule! Do you really walk 10mi per day? Do you really go to the gym 4 days per week? Do you really do elliptical on top of that? Do you also do yoga and stretching and your doctor thinks you aren't DOING ENOUGH? For reals? That's total insanity!
You're getting in 500cals or less per day. I gotta call BS. No wonder your tired. The real question is, how are you not dead?

Paul Hufnagl got a reaction from JessLess in Single Incision Scars vs. Multi-port Scars from Surgery
as a nurse and a patient I don't even think your going to find a surgeon that will do an open incision vs laproscopic. The risk of infection and healing are going to be much higher with a single open incision. your going to be happy with the effects from the surgery that 5 tiny barely noticable scars are not going to be a problem.

You should always be worried about yellow eyes. Liver issues can cause this. ER all day.

Well done on your weight loss so far. While I don't know your body fat percentage your weight is in the healthy weight range for your height. Weight loss from here on is going to slower and lower, that is, assuming you have sufficient excess body fat to lose. Your calorie and macro intake will need to be on point for your weight and activity levels (plus other factors), you won't have a lot of leeway.
If you don't actually have excess body fat to lose you will lose lean body mass if you continue to lose weight. You don't want to lose lean body mass. If you are in a position to get an accurate body fat percentage reading eg DEXA scan they are useful to see what your body composition is like. You may benefit from weight/resistance training..increase lean body mass while losing body fat...you could well end up the same weight but be physically smaller and wear a smaller size. Weight for weight muscle takes up less volume than fat.
You will lose weight if you get back on track...maybe a follow up visit with your dietician/surgeon would be beneficial for you.
