Sometimes we get excited by seeing the scale fall and purposely reduce calaries to such an extent that we can hardly move because of lack of energy. The best success is something that's sustainable low calaries at 350 a day is not sustainable. Please increase your calaries and remember this is not a crash diet but a long term lifestyle change. Good luck.

Welcome abroad you will find your journey to be very interesting and challenging, you will have your ups and downs, good times and bad, remember the surgery only meets you half way the rest is in your mind. There will be times you can hardly eat and there will be times you wonder how you ate so much. You will get to the weight you want only if you really want it bad enough. Good luck.

I think this is one of my greatest weaknesses failing to plan. This article is a great wake up call.

I have to agree with Alex and Elizabeth that the exercise is burning me out both physically and mentally so the break is doing my mindset great.
-
I know this might sound crazy but a friend once told me if you in that emotional eating mode and can't find a way to stop eat something you don't like and that might stop you from over eating.
-
It's hard to think of anything.. I'll give it some thought.

I totally agree with you if one doesn't trick the body by varying calories and changing exercise then the body simply gets used to whatever your doing.

I forget not to eat especially when I walk through the kitchen.

@@AussieSam I only eat Protein, and I drink 100oz a day LOL. The more you burn the more you require!
I drink about 140oz and when I think of food the stomach says to me don't you dare I'm already full thanks to the Water.

I don't agree with this part at all, or, at least, that is definitely not my experience. Exercise makes me MORE hungry, because it results in your body requiring more energy in the form of calories. My argument is that when you exercise lots it suppresses your appetitte
Eat lots of Protein and drink a lot of Water and it shouldn't make you hungrier.

A lot of people believe exercise is only 20% of the success I disagree I think it's about 50. My argument is that when you exercise lots it suppresses your appetitte and keeps you burning calaries up to 18 hours afterwards and gives your body that great look. What do you think?

Maybe your fill was not right or didn't put you in the green zone.

My marriage is just as it was before my wls I think one of my secrets was to do it slow and not expecting to lose 250 lbs overnight. I put in my mind that I will do it within 5 to 10 years and because of the slowness it doesn't have all the hormonal issues with very fast weight loss.

I think hold off to you get to know him more and if he is mr right then I'm pretty sure down the track he will accept regardless of past.

They are the good carbs and to cut all these out is very unhealthy.

All the procedures do a simular job they restrict your portion size. On the other hand they all have a honeymoon period which eventually ends so the key is to develop good eating habits. The third most important thing is they don't fix emotional eating you will have to work on that.

Complex are very important if you exercise a lot as you need them for fuel. Protein helps repair the muscles and stos the body from breaking down muscle. Stay away from sugary carbs and remember it's ok to be on a low carb diet but bad to be on a no carb diet.

Rest days?
Sunday is usually my rest day and sometimes Saturday on these days I cut calaries to 1200.
-
I do about 1800 to 2000 calaries a day. I need these calaries in order to exercise well.
My friend was weight training for a body building competition (she was a gastric bypass patient, now 5 years out).. Her trainer had her on higher calories, cause she was obviously burning.. but she gained weight. It went against everything her trainer knew.. but remember when you've been 3-400 pounds, I just don't believe our bodies are "normal".. Have you tried cycling your calories or cycling your carbs? If you really are burning all these calories, you MAY need to increase calories.. but I would caution you to be careful.
I do a lot of interval training on the cross trainer which is a combination of running and cycling. When I lower my calaries I just cannot workout properly.

When did you have your surgery?
In June 2009

I train about two hours a day and burn about 1100 calaries so I don't see the point like a lot of people that starve themselves on ridiculous low calarie amount and lose muscle. Your calarie in take seems good keep up the good work.
AussieSam what is your workout regimen? If its not body building and lots of cardio, you're eating too much. Now, if you are burning 800 calories a day I get it or unless that's what your nutritionist told you.
No comment.I do about 1800 to 2000 calaries a day. I need these calaries in order to exercise well.
I average about 800-1000 cals a day, net. On days I Dont work out, I only eat that many. On days I do work out, depending on how long or how hard, i eat part of them back. But my net only hits 1200 once or twice a week. I agree you have to fuel your body but Dont use it as an excuse. Good luck finding out your way and the answers you need!
So my hubby is a personal trainer. He was wondering a few things. ow old are you? What do you do during your workouts? What are you eating? Are you training for something specific?
I'm 43 years old I do interval training and some weights I'd say 70 percent cardio the weights are added on top of the 2 hours. I'm not training for anything just mainly to burn maximum fat.

Thanks all for the great advice. It's strange as I havnt been able to increase my daily calaries as strangely just not interested in lots of food these days.

Wait, what? 2k calories is "not interested" in food?

So basically, you are eating to exercise.
What are those calories comprised of? I was told to eat lean Protein, veggies and some complex carbs during the losing phase. There is/was no way I could eat that many calories if I followed that diet now.
I maintain at 1500-1800/day, sometimes I get in 2000, but rarely. That's throwing in a lot of nuts, cheese and a few Hershey kisses daily to get to 1800, too. I've been maintaining for over a year and I'm happy with where I am.
Losing at 2k and wanting to add more? I think you need to listen to your NP, not your experience.
The calaries are split three ways Protein complex carbs and fats. The protein is mostly chicken and fish and some red meat for Iron the carbs are fruits and veggies and some healthy cereals and the fats are mostly evoo and nuts.

Sometimes it can be the impact your feet moving and hitting the ground with the weight impact on the back. Try the cross trainer as you can get the same workout without the impact.
