Overall I’m pretty pleased. Been a long slow journey. I started at 410 lbs. Currently at 225 lbs. Want to lose 25-30 more lbs. No longer Diabetic which means no more insulin shots. No more sleep apnea & no more Neuropathy in my feet. Off all 10 of my medications. Have not gained back a single pound. Completely changed the way I eat & exercise everyday. Gym workouts & a 3 mile daily walk is the norm. I’m really proud my A1C was 5.6. Bout as good as it gets. Blood Pressure & Cholesterol levels perfect. Main thing is I feel great. Hope to finally hit my goal next year. Still eat about 1500 calories a day. I like the new me & looking forward to the better me.

Thank you Mariposa. Good Luck to you. Set short term goals. Weekly or even daily goals. Time passes fast. You can do this. Change your eating habits. Lean meats & veggies, no sugar, no sodas, no fast foods. I also gave up bread & Pasta. Get plenty of Protein. I have a Premiere Protein Shake for Breakfast everyday. 30 grams of protein. Incorporate cardio into your lifestyle. Eating right plus exercise is the key to your success. It’ll be a month or two before you get back to regular food. The hard part is over. A great future lies ahead for you

No sweets at all. Go back to basics. Lean meat, veggies, no sugar, no Pasta, no bread, no fried food, no fast food. I exercise a lot & eat 1500 calories/day. Try walking 4-5 days a week. An hour each time. If you want to reset your pouch drink Protein Shakes for your meals in the day & 1 healthy meal in the evening. Do this for 2 days & your pouch will reset. Mine had stretched a lil because I was eating too much. I reset mine last week & can really tell the difference. You just fell off the wagon a lil. Time to refocus & get back on track. Good Luck to ya

I'm about 2 1/2 yrs out. Have lost 185 lbs with no regain. I walk 3 miles everyday to keep it off. I'd like to lose 40 more but Ive been stalled a while. Stay away from trigger foods & eat the way your supposed to & you'll be fine
My meals are 6 oz of lean chicken or fish & 2 veggies. Don't drink with your meal. Protein Shake for Breakfast every morning. Take all your Vitamins everyday. I have 2-3 Snacks a day. sugar free fruit cup or Jello or sugar free pudding or popsickles. Fruit & fudgesickle are only 40 calories. As much as your working doubt you can exercise much. But try to do a little bit. Stay focused on the basics
No sugar, no fried food, no fast food, no sodas or alcohol, no bread, Pasta potatoes, or rice. Eat your Protein first then veggies. It's great you've stayed on track without regain. Keep it up & you'll be fine. Good Luck to you. I live in Mesquite just outside of Dallas

The reason why you like it is that it has a lot of sugar and tastes better. 7g is a lot higher than recommended by my team.
Both the GNC Lean and Premier Proteins have 1-2g of sugar.

8 lbs in a week is going to be tough. The only way I know of is liquid fast. 3 Protein Shakes a day & that's it. You'll get all the nutrition you'll need. And walk everyday. 3 miles if you can. At least 1 & do it every day. I did a 2 week liquid fast using Premier Protein shakes. Hardest thing I've ever done but I lost 35 lbs in 2 weeks. Good Luck
I'm 2 years post op & have lost 185 lbs

Just get back on it & stay focused. If cooking is going to make you fall off the wagon don't cook. Family needs to be supportive. This is probably the hardest thing I ever did. 2 week fast was hard. As long as you don't cheat again you'll be fine. Good Luck

It's 18 months post op. Weight loss has really slowed down. I've lost 185 lbs. Trying to lose 50 more. Starting weight was 410. Today 235. I walk 3 miles 5 days a week. I lift weights 3 times a week at the gym. I'm still eating right. About 1200 calories a day. Had surgery on both legs which hurt my daily exercising. Set me back about 3 months. I feel really good. I've lost 16 inches in the waist. I'm off all of my 9 prescription medicines. I'm no longer Diabetic & no longer have to take insulin shots. I was taking 60 units twice a day. My Neuropathy was so bad I was thinking about using a motorized chair at the store. My sleep apnea was so bad I had 2 head on collisions. It has now gone away. Hopefully I can lose this next 50 lbs by Springtime. This surgery totally changed my life. I feel better, look better, & hopefully have added more quality years to my life. Even my dog has lost 25 lbs due to all the walking. I have become addicted to exercise instead of food. I look forward to what the future holds. I am determined to reach my goal. I take it one day at a time. I am proud of the new me. I'll be even prouder in 6 months.

Highest weight 410. Current weight 240. Goal 195-200. This has changed my life. I feel so much better, & my attitude is so much better. Still got a ways to go but I'm on the downhill slide. My health is so much better. No diabetes, no more insulin shots, no more sleep apnea, no more neuropathy of the feet. I exercise & eat right. I'm so greatful for my 2nd chance at life. At 61 I feel better than when I was 40.
