Hi all! Had surgery 11/16 so I'm almost a week post op . Hope everyone who commented here are doing well.

I guess the diarrhea is cuz we're not eating food just drinking. Hoping once I'm on mushy it goes away

Oh my goodness fatty! Wow thank god you're all better now though. Take it nice and slow while recuperating.

Hi all! Had surgery 11/16. Revision from band to bypass. Was very nauseous in the hospital the first 3 days. Went home on the end of the 3rd day. Currently I'm doing the broth, popsicles *by the way i dumped on a sugar free popsicle!* water and decaf tea. I can not stomach protein drinks. Can't wait till I'm on to mushy on Tuesday so i can get my protein that way. Anyone suffering from acid reflux? Yet I'm taking omneprazole! What about every time i take a sip of water i need to belch. I think I'm too tight. ???? hopefully it's just still swelling though.

Don't chew gum? I have not heard this....why shouldn't we chew gum...I chew all of the time...Just curious. Well i was told it can cause bad gas due to the air while chewing. Also a couple of days post op, you don't want to cause an obstruction by swallowing.

I'm day 5 post op and my breath is horrendous! Lol i need some listerine strips for sure!

Surprisingly no i didn't. I thought I'd have to so i bought some. Was told this time no food for two days, clear liquids only before surgery. That alone had me *going* look tmi i know but it's true.

@@1vivacious Yes we did. Both had a revision. I went band to bypass. Yes you keep in touch also @@jhutch . I haven't had any protein yet but I'm sipping on some decaf tea right now.

Yes jhutch, I'm feeling the same. Surgery on the 16 got home last night. Going to be a slow recovery. Feel better.

Struggled at first didn't start it on a Monday like i should have. More like that Fri. ???? but once i started Fri i was all in. Almost down 20lbs which is a blessing. It's pretty ok now that I've found my groove. Very true about it being different from the band. I guess I've just tried not to dwell on the fact I'm getting the rny.

Yeahhhh since I'm getting a revision i kind of have an idea how things are going to go. With the band i didn't get nervous till i was in my gown with iv in place. Right before walking into the er. Not really nervous now just anxious. How's the preop going?

Good luck to us all! My surgery date is Nov 16th! Monday is fast approaching! We can do this!

Geez... the drama never ends! Finally after 11 months into this process and a surgery date of Nov 16th i come down with a stinking, freaking cold!! I called my surgeons office to find out of there is anything over the counter i can take and was told me having a cold will be put into my file. My surgery can be cancelled and it's up to the discretion of the anesthesiologist. Smh. I have 5 days to get over this. Any tips? lol I'm looking for a miracle! ????????????

@@LipstickLady I spoke to my surgeons nurse, she said i can take anything necessary as long as it doesn't have aspirin in it. Soooo I'm a looking. And I'm due my period so i shall be on that also. ????

Thanks everyone. Just raided my pharmacy. Got airborne, Zinc and vit c capsules. Currently sipping hot tea.
