    Was giving a second chance

Thank you for the support! 💜
  2. Today I was giving a second chance, when I went to get a hiatal hernia fixed since it never was at time of my sleeve surgery like must of people do.. Gained almos 60 lbs back in just 6 months went to my new weight loss doctor and had an endoscopy to check my sleeve and he found the hernia and asked me why I never had it fixed.. well long story short I had the surgery done today and he fixed the hernia and also readjusted my sleeve that had stretched a bit! I say a second chance since I’m pretty much starting like my first surgery post-op. I haven’t been here in a while and shamed on me this place has helped me so much. Today I share my story all over again and hope to help others with it! So here we go again! (Sorry for typos still loopy here)

I've had the flu shot twice in my life and both times I've been violently ill with the flu that season. I'll never get it again.

The flu shot isn't a live vaccine, so unfortunately, it's just bum luck. I am getting over a two week cold, myself. UGH.

I got cold symptoms a few days after my flu shot - but I am pre-op so not sleeve related. I think it's just a coincidence (probably picked up something at the Drs office when I was there to get my flu shot!). We have to get them at work or wear a face mask during peak season. I also wanted to get one before surgery - God only knows what germs I'll encounter in the hospital.

Are u calling the doctor or your insurance company? Usually your insurance will give you an estimate the dr office usually doesn't know what they get paid right before surgery... Also you can check your insurance coverage what's your yearly deductible example I have UHC and after I pay $300 deductible for whatever procedure my insurance will cover 100% of anything I get done for the rest of the year. So if you haven't yet call straight to your insurance company!

    Regret

Majority of us go through that regret stage at 3 weeks out .. Tell me all about it I was there and my boyfriend said is your hormones from the surgery and the anesthesia messing with your emotions and yup came here and I was made aware that this happens and it will pass! So keep your head up and nothing comes easy but it will be so worth it .. Just keep hydrated Water shakes Popsicles etc. If you need us we are here for support!
