OMGoodness!!!!!OMGoodness!!!! I just did a happy dance around the whole entire house!!!! I just tried on a pair of capris I bought for this summer. I was thinking by then I "might" be able to fit them. Guess what they fit!!!!! I had to pull my very large oversized shirt out of the way but I snapped a picture of me wearing them. By the way, I have not worn this size since middle school, maybe 6 and 7th grade?!?!? I am just so excited that I had to shout it out to the world!!! I am finally seeing a light at the end of the tunnel as I only have 12 more pounds to lose!!!

Thanks everyone. Inner surfer girl I did talk with my NUT from my surgeons office and she explained to me that my diet was very high in fat and sugar. At the time my weight was still falling and I felt by lowering those at all I could risk losing too much more. But I did listen to what she had to say and now that my weight has been stable I am feeling more comfortable putting her suggestions into place-basically going back to a low fat moderate carb regime. I can call her any time so I'll be utilizing her for sure.
None of the eating disorder therapists here take my insurance. So ill have to go to a general one and hope they can work with me. I'm not sure I want to. I was in therapy all last year and I only backslid. I'm not sure I respond that well to therapy but we will see.
Kindle that sounds awesome. That's what I want- empowering therapy!! Tools and strategies, not being told you're a victim!! I'm going to look into your suggestions.
Cowgirl- anxiety just rules my life sometimes. It's so AWEFUL. It's been much worse I think since surgery because I was burying it with food too. It's such a terrible feeling. I don't have it every day but I do have it a lot!! It often prevents me from being productive.
The only thing I have found that really, really helps is moderate to intense cardio exercise. It pretty much cures me within minutes and generally lasts a day or two. I've always been resistant to using medications although I've definitely considered it. Especially when it's at its worst!!! I'm glad you found relief , it's a terrible thing to deal with. All my eating issues are rooted in it.
I really have to get to the gym every day. That's the key for me and there should be no excuses. As long as I do that I'm okay.

Y'know, there's a relatively inexpensive solution to the no-butt problem.
Same as Victoria's Secret solutions for the deflated boob area:

    They work. They really do.

Stories like this keep me real. Thank you for sharing. I KNOW I am doing good, but little things are creeping in early. I used to have a pickle for the 'crunch". Now guess what? Three pickles. Not much right? Well, also my omelet at night has gone from one egg to two. I'm having a Jello that's only 10 calories, but I'm not bothering to log it.(or the pickles.) Its little things but I'm only 3 months out. What about later. I know I can't be so strict that I say "to hell with it all" but I must keep vigilant. I didn't pay 10,000 dollars out of my own pocket just to set myself up for failure ONE MORE TIME. It's all good, just keeping it honest.

I have sisters so I can sort of relate....
I would suggest that you remind her that you both have told each other fairly private things over the years (at least I am assuming you have) and regardless about how she feels about the actual decision, being a trusted confidant is more important than her desire to be "honest" with people. (for example) How would she feel if she had told you in confidence that she had a hysterectomy and someone ask you about how she was doing and you just blurted out "oh, she had a hysterectomy done but she is doing great now." If her comeback is that she doesn't want to lie tell her to just agree that you are looking fabulous and that they should ask you directly about how you are doing it! Then the answer is back to you and she doesn't have to do anything.
BTW, I haven't made a secret of how I lost the weight. I answer this the same way I would answer anyone who has ask for any other diet I have been on. They would ask me how I was losing weight and I would say "Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig, HCG, SlimFast...etc" You name it I have tried it. (haven't we all...) Now I just say "I had weight lost surgery". If they don't like it or have a different thought they usually keep it to themselves. I honestly don't care if they don't like it, they don't have to live with the decision, only I do! If they just comment on how great I look and how much weight I have lost, I just say "Thanks, its been my project for this year!" and that is usually the end of the discussion.

Ok so today I went shopping because my size 12 jeans were getting fairly loose. I went to my favorite place to buy jeans since having WLS. Lucky Brand Jeans.
I grab a pair of sweet and straight jeans in a size 10 and I am grinning from ear to ear because I am confident they are going to fit and I love that feeling. I have not fit into jeans this small since I was a teenager.
I put them on and I am right! They fit fantastic! I come out of the dressing room and model for hubby who promptly says, those look a little big. Maybe you should think about a smaller size.
I the immediately say "no way!" An 8 is not going to fit me. I am honestly not sure if I have ever worn a size that small. I decide to encourage him and prove there is no way I will get them up.
I grab an 8 and head back into the dressing room. I look at this tiny pair of jeans and go, here goes nothing. They fit perfectly! I could hardly believe my eyes.
Then the sales clerk tells me that they are buy one get one half off but she says the darker dyes seem to be more forgiving so she gives me an 8 and a 6 to try on. I laughed but thought well just see how far off you are.
Well, I put the 6 on, buttoned them up and stood there in shock. Now, I didn't buy the 6 because although I could wear them, I do like my jeans to be comfortable and have a little room.
So when I started this journey I wore 24 jeans and 26/28 tops. I am now in a size 8 and a medium or large top. Sometimes I have to get the large because I have a lot of loose skin.
I cannot believe where I am today! For me, clothes shopping is when I can really see the thinner me.

    Hey @@Rebeccaabrooks86
How is it going this week? I have upped my workout times but missed a day so I only got in 3.75 hours this week.
I am just curious how many of us are still doing this challenge? I like having the accountability of needing to report my workouts each week, but I get that it might not be the biggest motivation for everyone.

I got in around my goal of 5 hours this week. Still struggling with my stall between 206-209 however was thrilled to fit into a new size 14 pair of jeans! So I'd consider this week to be good, still think I'm losing inches. Also bought myself a new Pilates DVD to use in my spare time at home along with my stationary bike- we'll see how it is! Congrats to everyone for doing so well!

I shared this conversation with my oldest daughter and loved here response:
"I also believe that people who didn't need to have what I consider medically needed assistance to help them lose weight are arrogant. Weight loss is hard, life style changes are hard. Everyone has to get through their journey their own way. That's what makes it special"

I was shocked to learn my sister is an a*****e over the summer, after having known her and spent 34 years of my life with her as my best friend. Who knew?
OP, I think the solution here might be having a heart-to-heart with your sister about all the struggles you've had post-op and how much work it really has been. You have to do just as much work to lose weight as someone who hasn't had surgery. Gastric sleeve isn't a malabsobative procedure, so calorie in or out to you is exactly the same as a calorie in or out to anyone else. You have to control what goes into your mouth and how much activity you do. So you have worked for every single pound you have lost.
