SO today is day 10 and I started my diet at 224 and am know at 216 lbs. When i first got my pamphlet i thought this would be easy because I thought I could control my self. But dear god this has been the hardest journey of my life. Childbirth was more straightforward than not eating. I have had more cravings for things that I never really ate since I started. I won't lie I have cheated but food high in proteins. I felt discouraged until I saw I was loosing weight but right know this journey is extremely hard. I salute all who are currently doing their diets and those of you who are long pass this stage. ::) just a few more days to go.

Yes it did. I was on pre-op for 2 weeks and managed to lose about 19lbs before I went under. Surgery went fine. The biggest advise I can give is start moving as soon as you feel up for it. Even if it is walking +/- 5 minutes at first. I had my operation on Wednesday morning. I was home Thursday afternoon and just walking around my house for a few minutes. Come Friday afternoon I was taking short walks up and down the sidewalk. It really help especially if you get gas pain in the shoulder area like most do after laparoscopic based surgery.

Pre-Op diet isn't easy. I have admitted on here several times I cheated and slipped up during the 2 weeks I was on it. Cheated like going through McDonalds and sitting in the Target parking lot mowing down a Big Mac, Fires, Etc thinking this was the end of the world. It is a short phase and will pass. Stay strong.

I'm not sure if you are like me and had have the same thing over and over and it. My pre-op phase I tried to keep it simple on myself. I went to Costco and bought the pre-mixed premier protein shakes. I think I drank 4 a day for those 2 weeks. Chocolate is the best. The Strawberry is dirty ugh. Let us know if there is something else you need help with!

I love the Apple Watch and how it calculates actual output. For example my 3.1 mile walk was rated as follows: Active Calories 330, Resting Calories 177, Total 507. I'm only getting credit for 330 on MFP because that is when my heart rate was elevated during the walk.

I hear ya Steve. I was in the market for a GPS running watch. The one I has chosen (Garmin Forerunner 225) was $299. At that price point I started debating all the other functionality I would get from the Apple device. I picked up a 42mm Space Grey Apple Watch for $340 on Craigslist, so that helped my final decision.

I've tried to help people, but my posts asking for help go mostly unanswered. I guess this site was made for women to respond to each other only. Take care all. I'll do this one my own.

It only took 602 posts to reach this conclusion? j/k man I am still new on here. I notice it as well. I was keeping to the "Guys Room" but hell that is mostly women posting in there as well. I agree its the same topics over and over. That is how it is with any forum really. Don't leave the other guys hanging. Doesn't seem to be that many of us.

Phew. I felt the effects of not measuring out my food last night. Ouch. Tankfully it passed quickly and going to the gym helped.
