lclemur got a reaction from nerkerle in CHOBANI FLIPS
I am not certain, but I believe that the flips have a reduced Protein amount. I disagree with CatLu86 regarding yogurt. There are many beneficial digestive enzymes in it. It is also high in Protein. That being said, you do need to watch your dairy intake. I suspect that it contributed to my awful Constipation issues. It is interesting to me that your caloric goal is 500 - 600 calories a day when you are (according to your signature column) more than 6 months out. Is this your goal for calories, or your nutritionist's? My surgery was 2/10/15, and my NUT has encouraged me to eat between 800 - 1000. You may be getting too few calories.

lclemur got a reaction from Positivelife in Anyone whose goal weight is less than 100 pounds?
Those of you losing slowing, but working out so often, must be losing inches. Am I correct? I exercise very rarely, outside of normal activities, and the weight is falling off. Maybe some of you are working out too much? Just a thought.

Woo Hoo to all of your NSV! Mine this week was, for me, a biggie! The weight on the scale matches the weight on my drivers license!

lclemur got a reaction from alicia54 in How do you relieve the too-full feeling?
Ugh. Awful feeling. For me, moving around helps. Weighing and measuring is a p.i.t.a, but keeps one on track. I have been good, and not so good about it. Especially hard when I am eating out. You can stick one of those small rubbermaid containers in your purse and take it out when needed. I also purchased a tiny, cheap scale at Target that I use at home, and can stash in a bag/purse when I go out.

lclemur got a reaction from LousPeachy in How Soon Did You Try Guacamole, Salsa, Hot Cheetos, Doritos? Sorry I Just Had Surgery On Tuesday And Omg :o Im Addicted To All Of That.
@italianlady13: We are all different. Some people have craving foods that they can eat moderately. Personally, I have never known an obese person that can. Most of my downfall in the past is the belief that I can "have just a little." Next thing I know, I am eating them regularly, and have gained another 20 lbs. It is like alcohol for me (never been an alcoholic, but, believe me, I can relate!) It is about willpower (I hate that word! Many skinny friends say "Oh just use your willpower and eat less, exercise more!) I knew when I embarked on this journey that there are many foods that I can't have ever again, and I mourn the loss. If I label them "addicted to," then I have to walk away, especially when they have no nutritional value. But, again, let me emphasize, that everyone is different. For me, It is a slippery slope. I CAN'T rely on willpower when it comes to food. If I could, then I wouldn't have needed WLS.

lclemur got a reaction from edashwood in Has anyone else been overweight since birth, but had success with the sleeve?
Yes. Overweight almost all of my life. I have had months here and there where I was "overweight" according to BMI, but mostly obese and morbidly obese. I have lost 72 lbs. I look in the mirror, and sometimes I don't recognize the person staring back at me. I am on a staycation now. If it wasn't for my sleeve (and MyFitnessPal!) I would be eating my way across LA. I am not hungry. I hope this lasts a long time. In any case, it works if you work it. Good Luck! We are here to cheer you on!

Yeah, kids. You would think my 18 year old would have a bit of a filter. "Gee Mom, you are really looking good! Too bad about your ass." Me: "What is that supposed to mean?" Him: "Well, it is still pretty big..." I wanted to slap him upside of the head....
