    May Surgery?!

Your surgery sounds very interesting. I had revision surgery from sleeve to bypass on May 10th. I didn’t realize how hard the surgery would be. Instead of 3 hours it took 6 hours. The Doctor found so much scar tissue he had to do the bypass a different way. I was out all day the 10th and don’t remember anything until sometime the next day. I was so confused and saw and thought things that weren’t real. My oxygen level was very low which I guess caused the confusion. I stayed at the hospital until late Wednesday evening. I feel like the left side of my stomach has been punched a hundred times. It was a horrible experience. I was sent home with very mild pain meds. The pain was non stop. I called the Doctor and he gave me something stronger which helped. My throat was so sore. It was like the worst sore throat ever. The tube was too large for my throat. They had to find a smaller tube that would go down. I’m feeling better every day but still sore and extremely tired. I’m tired of liquids this is my 3rd week on just liquids. One more to go. I miss food. It’s really a withdrawal. It’s getting better. I keep thinking one more week and I can have something different. The new journey had a difficult start but I know it will get better. I’ve lost 26 pounds so far. That’s the good part.

    May Surgery?!

I started my 2 week liquid diet on Monday. It’s not too hard but I do get hungry. I’m determined to stick to it. I know you will do great.

  4. I have 100 pounds to lose, I thought that having so much to lose that the weight would come off faster, I know that everyone loses at their own rate. My Doctor told me this is my golden year of weight loss, I just want it to happen,
  5. I am 6 weeks out from being sleeved and haven't lost anything in over a week, I am very discouraged. I thought I would lose at least 2 to 3 pounds a week. I have lost 31 pounds and that includes the weight I lost during my 2 week liquid diet. My nutritionist told me to up my calories to 800 a day and drink at least 80 ounces of water a day, I just can't drink that much water a day. I tried the 800 calories and I went up a half of a pound, It seems that no matter what I do I just can't lose. I was hoping to be down at least 80 pounds in 6 months. Now I don't feel that is possible for me to do. I do walk on the treadmill every day. I am in my 60s so maybe I just won't lose as fast as someone younger. Please help!! I need some hope.
  6. I had my surgery on February 20th 2015. I have not walked as much as I should after getting home. It's cold and snow on the ground. I have just been walking up and down the hall a few times a day. My legs get sore and seem to swell if I sit too long. Is this normal? I weighed today and have not lost any weight. I had lost 13 with the pre op liquid diet and now I have gained 2 pounds. When will this weight gain go away? Sorry for so many questions. I am still quite sore but really feel quite well otherwise.
  7. Seminar November 5th Surgery date February 20th. I am thankful that it was fast and I didn't have to wait forever. However, it did feel like forever when I was waiting for a surgery date..
