My surgery went very well! Mobile Infirmary is an awesome hospital with great staff. Everyone was very attentive. I went home Thursday. This is my 2nd day back at the office. Everything is going great!

Well my surgery being Monday, my doctor called today about my pre-op testing. It seems I may have Gastroparasis and will have to go for more tests on Monday instead of surgery and I took a week off of work. ????

What is the best tasting Protein powder available at Wal-Mart to mix with clear liquid? I have, of course, waited until the last minute and can't get to a GNC store! Surgery is Monday, so I need something to put in sugar-free Jello, etc. that doesn't taste horrible. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. TIA

I am June 1st. Pre-Op was yesterday. The butterflies have set in!!!

I just had my first consult last week Long way to go...but I do know that my insurance co. has waived the 6 month diet plan so I am waiting on my PCP to submit my records for the last 3 years to my surgeon's office. I hope to hear something soon after that. I hope you are recovering well.

From what I understand this is something that the peer to peer "appeal" should help with. Your surgeon could explain that one-time weightless.

Anyone out there on the local government Health Insurance Plan with BCBS of AL? I had my 1st appt with the surgeon's office on 1/15/15. I was told that the 6 month diet was waived with my BMI being 44. I have to pay 1,057.00 (50% of copay) to surgeon. From what I understand, I am waiting on medical records to be submitted from my PCP and I need to fill out a 5 yr diet history. After that, I don't know...Just wondering if anyone else has been through the whole process with the same type of insurance.
