    NSV shout outs

I am almost 4 weeks post op. Although my NSV's are not as huge yet, I can say that: I'm down 31 lbs Friends and family can SEE the difference in my face and chest. Measurement wise I am down 2 inches in both waist and hips, AND 4 inches in the chest. Although I haven't tried on jeans yet, I can tell a difference in the stretchy waist pants I've been wearing. And when I went to buy new sports bras last weekend, I have gone down a size (huge accomplishment). My next appointment is tomorrow and hopefully I will be cleared to do more exercise as I was told to walk 30 min. a day... Only! However, I am so pumped with the weight loss right now that there are not enough words to describe my excitement and motivation! Especially since I have done every diet imaginable and countless exercises in the past and lost nothing. Granted my thyroid problems haven't helped, but this surgery is helping me to change that and get back to a healthy weight.

    January Sleevers ❄️

@Aprilhoffmam78 I have had applesauce, but have not pureed an apple yet. However, I will probably buy some and try it soon.

I am also on pureed food and eat about every fruit and veggie possible. I have a nutribullet so I put high protein items such as spinach and such in there and grind the heck out of it. My doc also told me that I can have things like mashed potatoes and to start introducing soft foods like fish and chicken.

    January Sleevers ❄️

Hi everyone! I was sleeved on Jan 6 th. I too struggled with gas and pain. I discovered Gas - X strips and they were a life saver! Also, for a more restful sleep, go get 1 or 2 body pillows. I have been sleeping in my bed since coming home from the hospital, and have 2 body pillows (1 for each side) that pending on which way I laid, I would put one side between my legs and hug against the tummy, and the other to support my back. Worked wonders!
  8. Hi everyone! I was sleeved on Jan 6th and am down 24 lbs since starting my pre-op diet. I'm doing pretty good and my surgeon cleared me for the stage 3 diet with approval to introduce fish, chicken and soft foods. My fist question is exercise. I walk everyday for at least 30 min, but want to do more. I know running and cardio is out of the question since I was just sleeved; but, can you recommend any exercises that you've done that can fulfill that gap of wanting to do more? Also, being approved for stage 3 with the introduction of chicken, fish, and soft foods, what did you make that would fulfill your calorie and protein needs, but also fill your family? Is there a cookbook or anything that you know of that can assist with changing it up while eating pretty much the same things? Thanks in advance, this place is wonderful!

    Sick, hungry, headache

I'm really excited! Nervous, but that's normal. However, during this pre op diet, I keep thinking, "is there anything else I can do to make sure my liver shrinks enough? " Haha! Guess I just want to make sure that nothing prevents this surgery from happening.
  10. I'm presently on my pre-op diet of 4 protein shakes a day and 1 meal that is 400 calories or less. To make sure the liver shrinks (which I'm sure it has), are there any recommendations as to what I should eat these next few days to ensure the liver is small enough? Surgery is Jan. 6th.

    Grumpy and Weak

I've been on the pre op diet since last week. The afternoon and evening seem to be the hardest. But, no pain no gain right?
