    Varicose Vein/Spider Vein removal?

I'd like to resurrect this post. My left leg looks awful. I have 1 vein that is raised. The rest are these spidery veins. Has anyone else had any luck with a vein solution center & their insurance?

    Unsupportive Mom :(

@@Stacyc311 stay the course! I wanted and seriously contemplated rny at 21. I let my mom talk me out of it. Finally last year I decided enough was enough! I went to seminars at different hospitals and got into a program before I told her! Lol My mom like yours is obese. I've watched her struggle through every surgery she has had because of her being overweight. Everyday she goes home from work and sleeps. She misses out on being involved in my children's lives. She misses out on life in general because of the hold that food has on her. I was following in those same footsteps! I had to break the cycle. I couldn't risk ending up physically broken because of food. I asked her to not tell anyone. But she did. She told my grandma in confidence! But she just found out that she then told 1 of my aunt's in confidence. Lord knows, my whole family probably knows now! When it's none of their business. It's mine! All of this to say, I understand. I am sorry:-( Stay the course to a healthy long life! I look forward to hearing of your successes on here!!

    First dumping syndrome UGH!

I'm glad you're doing better! All of us have different guidelines. Mine says to stay under 10 grams each meal. I love oatmeal and a way that I fix it to add a little protein is I add pb2 to it with some splenda. Just a suggestion. I love peanut butter :-) Am glad that you're on the upswing!!

    How about some NSVs!?!?

@@Mommabird My oldest daughter is a big girl, I might actually weigh a little less than her now, but I took over her jeans. I couldn't tell if that made her happy, sad, angry or all of those! I'm still large, but I'll take a size 22 over a 28 any day.
  7. @@Babbs I don't think you're whining at all! I can relate. In the past, 10 years ago to be exact, I lost 80 lbs in a matter of months. I'd think that with the surgery helping me this time around I'd lose way more. But it's not been like that for me. I am happy and ever so grateful that I am slowly losing! I agree with jamielogical. I'm thinking it has to be the years of yo-yo dieting and our age. **looked back at post, it was cleos's mom, I agree with jamielogical too though :-)*** My mom keeps telling me that I look great and if I don't lose more that I shouldn't be disappointed. But I will be! I didn't go through what I have to still be fat.
  8. @@Babbs my nutritionist told me that at first we will lose like crazy but as we get smaller our metabolism will decrease so losing will be harder. That's all I have to offer on that :-)

    First dumping syndrome UGH!

It has to run it's course. If that was a sweetened pack of oatmeal it may of had too much sugar in it?

    How about some NSVs!?!?

I think I posted before but... My brother yesterday saw me and said, "if you lose anymore weight you'll be a skinny chic!" I love it. I still have bunches to lose, but I'll take it!

    Possible sleep apnea?

I've read that a lot of bariatric pal users, including myself, had to do a sleep study as part of your pre-op stuff. Agree with @@Margie122 . The more comorbidities the better, in a way :-(

How do I update my weight?

I have to log onto website, not use the app. I think after you've logged in you hit the gear icon by your username.

    4 months out!

DOS 12/30/14 SW 335lbs HW 359lbs I'm doing great! My cw is 279 lbs. My dr says I'm 5-10 lbs ahead of his schedule! I've thrown up here and there. But I pretty much know now what to stay away from. I was off my bp meds, then put back on. Just got taken off again today because I've been near passing out and my bp today at the dr office was 100/60. No wonder! My first set of blood work isn't until the end of June. I'm a little nervous. But we'll see. And there's quite a few people on here. And there are some regulars which make it nice. I'm sorry to hear of your complication. What are they going to do?

    Learning how to eat slowly!

There's an app called food timer. I used it a lot when I was introducing semi solids and solids back into my diet. You can set it for however long between bites and it'll alert you when to take the next one. Good luck on your journey!

    Can you see the loss?

It looks like your face is thinner. Your belly button isn't really hiding now. Your arms appear to be thinning out. Your probably losing proportionately, which is good! I have trouble seeing my achievements as well. I really believe it's a head thing! Keep up the good work.

    Sensetivity to Smells

For me it did! My worst reaction to smell happened on the way to church. My husband and kids all stopped and got Starbucks. By the time we got to the freeway I had to pull over and vomit. 3mo out now & I'm much better :-)

    Carbonated beverages

@@SaraJay425 I was out of town shopping and didn't pack food. Everyone I was with wanted kfc. They have grilled chicken so I had a breast, pulled the skin off though, dipped the pieces of chicken in some gravy. Chicken and I don't get along well but the gravy helped it go down and stay down. That was around 2 months out.

    Swimsuit online? Where?

@@LovinSoul thank you for your reply. I have to buy my daughter's bras at leading lady as well. They are one of the only that I can find small cup with larger band with no underwire. I'll definitely look into lands end. I used to dress her in that brand when she was a little girl :-) @@BLERDgirl yes forever 21! Ugh, I was just at the mall last weekend. Why didn't I think of that? Swimsuit online? Where?
