    It's over

I had a bit of a snicker at this too because it reminded me of me... I was so grateful to have the surgery over and so delerious from all the emotions, pain meds, and just confusion at the hospital. My husband has a lovely video of me smearing chapstick around and around and around on my lips over and over in slow motion whild saying "mmmmm" that he is threatening to blackmail me with! haha! Congratulations on your surgery and best of luck on your weight loss journey!

    Post op diet!

I had clear liquids for the first 3 days which included anything you could see through such as broth, weak tea, apple juice, gaitoraide, etc. Then I was on full liquids for 2 weeks which did include any type of creamed soup without lumps, yogurt, sugar free pudding, and my surgeon even allowed a cup of coffee which I know many do not. Best of luck on your journey!!
  3. Thanks for all your replies everyone! This website is so helpful I will keep what you said in mind and try to relax and just enjoy the process
  4. I had my sleeve done on December 3rd and will be starting the soft foods diet on Monday next week. On Tuesday, my supervisor is taking my coworkers and I out for a holiday lunch at a Mexican restaurant! I literally am freaking out about this! It will be my 1st time going out to eat, I will be on soft foods for only the 2nd day, I will be with my boss, yikes! Does anyone have any suggestions for me?

    In need of some advice

I'm new too and felt exactly like you before my surgery on Dec 3rd. I now understand already what people are talking about! My appetite is just not there anymore which feels like such a blessing and that is how I am able to be on an all liquid diet for the last 10 days without cheating or any cravings. It is actually amazing! Before surgery I was on the pre-op diet for 10 days where I had 3-4 Protein shakes and a small meal. That was so much more than I'm eating now and I was starving. I too, was never able to stick to any diet plan in the past but with the grehlin greatly reduced, my appetite is now completely manageable. Yours will be too and that, my friend is how you will be successful!
