    Best swallowable vitamins?

I use CELEBRATE Capsule Vitamins. I have used them since after my Chewables. I didn't like my CENTRIUM chewables they were way to sweet. You can buy them on-line. I buy them on AMAZON. I haven't had any bllodwork come back bad. I was told by my Dr that if they were to large to swollow that could open them up and eat them with applesauce or yogurt.

How offen do you go #2?

Before my RNY I went many times a day. I had the back door trots after I ate every meal. Now I tend to be the other way!! But..I have a new friend that stays with me all the time..MIRALAX!! My new best friend!! It is pretty gentle and it doesn't hit you like a ton of bricks. I guess it isn't a laxitive, it pull fluids from your body. This is what I have learned. GREAT STUFF!!

    Big Ward

We have a Family owned restaurant here in my town. It is called CASY'S"" One of the best foods to get in town. But their servings are way over the top! We used to go there quite a bit. Once and awhile we will get a chefs salad to share and have leftovers so much that we can eat the next day if we wanted. Way to big servings and once you add your dressing it won't keep until the next day and besides who wants to eat leftover salad. NOT ME!! They have or had when I ate there before way to good foods!! Like real comfort foods. But there restaurant is one of the reasons I had to have my RNY. Does it bother anyone else that we are over run with ads from the store? (BariatrcPal) It is getting to be a big issue with me. Anyone else?
  5. I'm almost 5 years out from my RNY. It happens to most!! Dizzy. headach etc. Now let me stress that WE have to keep hydrated!! Like I said I'm out a ways for sure. But recently (like 2 weeks ago) I was watching TV and laid down on the couch, I stood up and started down the hallway to the bathroom. I started weaving from side to side, it felt like I was trying to rock from one side to the other. I blacked out and fell straight back and woke up when I hit the floor!! SCARY!! I had passed out!! I had been slacking on my fluids and it just caught up with me!! So I just want to say it happens and happens more than anyone wants to admit. Most think they are ok and it won't happen to me!! Well Yeppers it did. The first time in my whole life!! DRINK AND DRINK MORE!!

    I miss you, Richard!

I LOVE this guy!!! He has helped so many people, giving great advise and being so loving with everything he does!! Much better at motivation than many I have read and tried. His DEAL A MEAL was simple and it worked. But...like most who have WLS they have been on many diets and lost many pounds to only regain most of what they have lost plus more!! What a great guy!!

TMI Topic - Liquid Diet Stool

I had to do 2 weeks of protein Preop. Then 4 weeks Postop. Believe me I had the back door trots like you wouldn't believe!! Finally my PA told me that I was lactose intolerant. DUH why didn't you tell me that from the beginning. Totally normal being watery and yellowish also It sure is the pits. You are getting so close to your surgery just a few more days. You've got this!!

I do not understand 'no restriction left"

I'm really not sure about the "stretching the pouch" I have heard so many tales of it. I have heard from a DR online, (wish I could remember his name) he said stretching your pouch etc is a myth. Also he said it wouldn'tbe your pouch any how...it is the opening from your pouch not the pouch itself. I have eat to much and it hurts like heck. I still have plenty of restriction. But I can eat more than before. I weigh between 125 to 130. Pretty good. I am very happy with my WL. You are defintly right about the over doing part. Have a great rest of your weekend.

    Premier Protein Clear

As far as ISOPURE goes, It is so gross I commend anyone that can even handle it. Totally yuk. Premier gave me the back door trots. After I had been using it for 6 weeks my PA told me that I was Lactose Intolerant. Well, thank you DR. LOL

Liquid Diet and Diabetes Type 2

Sugar free popsicles. Try to get some Better than Bouillon. It comes in Chicken or Beef. Much better tasting than the others. Hot Tea with a sweetner. Sugar Free Hot Chocolate. They also have things thru BariatricPal store has things with protein added. With your low blood sugars I can't tell you. I was Type 2 Diabetic but the Protein drinks I had for my preop didn't let me get to low. Right after my RNY I did 4 weeks of protein drinks and right away stopped my insulin. You do know that even after your surgery, it can rise its ugly head again. My Dr was going to put me on pills again and I told her, give me a month and it will be back down. As soon as I started my exercise it went down again. So it is like it is in remission. I know for myself I have to balance myself with exercise. Good Luck be strong now it is getting closer everyday!!

    Bras are my enemy!

I have these long line and shortline Bra's from Shapeezz. they cost more but they are so great and comfortable. The Long Cami are a cover up for ack fat and tummy. I also like there Short Cami. I also found them cheaper on Amazon Prime. They are worth the $$ to me. If something fits well and supports also then I am willing to pay more for them. I love them. They make me feel so much better.

    Vitamins

I am not making a plug for Bariatric Vitamins but here goes. For me I thought about what I had just went thru and knowing that I am in this forever. I felt like I should at least buy the Bariatric vitamins. I tried the Flintstones and they were horrible, I tried the Chewable Centrum vitamins but man they are so nasty I ouldn't handle them. I have taken CELEBRATE Capsule for the whole time after trying the ones that made me sick. Another thing about me is I started taking chewable Vitamin C, they tasted so good kind of like a sour candy which I love beyond love anything sweet and tangy. Not good for me when I was woofing them down like candy. lol I buy CELEBRATE at Amazon. I like the fact that they are capsule and if need be you could open them and put them in applesauce or something while you are early out. Just my take on vitamins.
  16. Actually my kids are both grown but...my grandkids all think I'm so skinny. My 12 YO granddaughter said she loves wearing my boots because her feet are the same size as mine. She loves all the clothes I have gave her. When she comes to spend the night (which is very often) she puts her lounger (one I gave her) on and says I'm like my NANA!! One day she was watching me put on my face moisterizer and ask what I was doing...I told her it was to make me be beautiful I ask her is it working? She replied OH YES NANA!! You are BEAUTIFUL!! My grandson ( 10YO) hugs me and says OH NANA!! You are so litte!! I can reach around you when I hug you. I told my hubby that I have heard that MODELING after me is the ULTIMATE FLATTERY!! Out of the mouth of Babes for sure.

    Goodbye celebration

I didn't really have my LAST SUPPER due to being afraid that I would do something wrong and they would cancel my WLS. I figured that most of my adult life I was a real PARTY GIRL. But each of us have our own ways of getting thru this. Just take it as YOUR job to follow the guidelines and you will do fine. Good Luck

    Dear Lap-Band: A Fond Farewell

WOW!! Alex Brecher, I did not know that you had the Lap Band. My hubby had his for 13 years before it malfunctioned. He so wanted to have the RNY. But there was to much scar tissue and it had eroded into his liver. So after it was all said he finally got the Sleeve done in Mexico. BTW we sure wished he would have gone with your DR's. But he thought the old addage phrase worked better by spending the extra $$ he would get better care. NOT!!! I'm sorry to hear that you are having problems also. Have a great day!!

    New guy

He was and still is, kind of disappointed because he couldn't t get the RNY done. But he does think the SLEEVE way by far better than the Lap Band. He had so much scar tissue from the band and then he became so sick after they removed his band. He had abscesses bad!! He almost died it took him 10 months to heal. Not good for sure. I can't tell you how grateful we are to the Surgeon here in Roseburg that took him on as a patient after his orginal DR waisted all those months giving him different antibiotics.

    Surgery tomorrow!

YAY!!!! Tomorrow you are going on a wild ride but so very worth it!! Hang tight and follow your guidelines!!

    New guy

That darn LAP BAND worked it unMAGIC on so many!!! My hubby had his 13 years and lost around 100#'s he still had lots more to lose. Finally it malfunctioned and was removed Sept 2013. Almost killed him for sure. He had the SLEEVE on June 6th 2016. He has lost a total of 300#'s total. With the Sleeve he doen't always stick to his program and does a lot of ups and downs. Good Luck on your journey. I look forward to following your Weight Loss. Again Welcome

Hi I had my bypass on 1/29

I use Paaa Enzymes, they are 100%natural and they have helped me so much. But before you use them please check with your DR. I chew 3 or 4 depending on how I feel then I lie on my left side. They have literally saved me a few times. They cost less than $5.00 at Walmart. They are much better for me because I feel like if I use the water to take the Gas X it makes me to full. Call your Dr. you won't be using Gas X again. BTW they also help with digestion, so if you feel like you ate just 1 bite to much it seems to help everything go down. BTW walking helps get the gas working out.

    Post-Op Travel Question

My hubby and I went to Juarez, Mexico June 2016. I had never been on a trip out of the U.S.A. I brought some water bottles and some redi-made Protien. When I went thru Customs they made me throw all of it away. Man, I could not believe it. I even had EX-RAYS with me showing the rods in my back. (my Dr told me 8 years ago) that they would set the alarm when I went thru. Of course they told me they didn't need them. (I threw them away one less thing for me to pack around) I know I could have made a fuss over our drinks but I didn't. I got my hubby some water because he was on his pre-op diet. I had to pay over $4.00 for water!! If that wasn't like being robbed I don't know what is. Sorry I get a little worked up!!

    Bypass or Sleeve???

I had the RNY. I love it. Yes there are some things that can happen but...either one has ups and downs. I have been very successful with mine. But the bottom line s you have to make your decision on which one will work for you. Good Luck
