  1. When it's time for my surgery, I too need to do three weeks, I'm not gonna judge, I too will most likely slip up, all you can do is pick it back up the second after you slip and resolve to do better. Slip ups are always going to happen - we are only human

    Facial Hair

This is what I've been on in the past as well as metformin (not a diabetic, it was for hormone control) and they both workerd well, I should go back on them, it was really the only thing that help the hairy situation

    Telling Coworkers

This is most likely the best response you can use, you are be honest and upfront, you are working with a doctor, which is the complete truth, they don't have to know the details. And if they continue to push offering to talk about their weight is a great diversion, it'll more than likely shut them up about the topic. I really don't understand why people feel that it is acceptable to ask and talk about your weight. Love the new lips BTW LipstickLady.

    Telling Coworkers

I'm not telling my co workers either, just my boss so I can get the time off work. I too am of the opinion that it's really none of their business. So what if your eating smaller portions? So what if your losing weight? Its your business and your business only.

  7. How fantastic that you are both going on this journey together! You will have each other to support and encourage one another which is great. I am not getting sleeved until late October or early November and I cannot wait! This is a fantastic forum for support and advice so don't hesitate to ask any and all questions.

    Alcohol intake

This is a situation that I will probably find myself in too, I admit I am "the office lush" so for co-workers to not see me drinking will have some questions, but I'm not telling co-workers at this stage

    Anyone from Sydney/NSW?

    Alcohol intake

I know my surgeons recommends waiting at least a year post-op before drinking alcohol, but every surgeon would have different ideas. One thing I have heard if you choose to drink after WLS is that it takes very little alcohol to have an effect.

    Health insurance

I'm with HCF, and they cover Obesity surgery, I've met with my surgeon and my out of pocket expense will be under $4000. Not sure about places that don't charge but my cousin who had the sleeve didn't pay anything, but he was an extreme case and was covered through a university or something, I'm not quite sure.
