  1. Hello my name is Rhondalyn and I had my surgery in November 2016, and since then I haven't lost any weight or gained any I guess that's a good thing.  It seems I'm having a hard time with the meal planing I can still eat a lot of food even after the band adjustment. Any suggestions I live in Louisville and my surgeon is Dr. Vincent Lusco. Any suggestions  would help I feel like a felling at this.

Almost 4 months with no weight loss? Something isn't right there. Check what you are eating. Be honest with yourself. Then check your exercise and activity level. Both are needed for weight loss. You have to restrict calories and increase activity. Women do lose slower than men but after 4 months you should be losing at least some amount of weight.

  2. May a woman open a topic in "Male Only?" A brief exchange between two male characters on "The Good Wife" lingers for its interestingness (see the italics?) , humor and surprise element. Would the gentlemen amongst us take part? Let's see what happens.

I would say to respect that the men's forum is for men only. Just like the women's forum is for women only. If you want you can post it to the general discussion forum and ask for guys to chime in.

LOL steak at week one. That's hilarious. Yeah, I've seen a lot of posts from people about eating solid food on week one, like it was no big deal. I'm thinking, how the hell is that even possible? I could only take tiny sips of water and couldn't even finish half a bowl of soup yet these people seem to be guzzling down food the same as before.

Yep. And then they will freely admit that they don't exercise and eat tons of carbs yet don't understand why they aren't losing weight or why they are gaining. I hear ya. But we got to be patient with them. Until they finally comprehend that the surgery is not a miracle cure they won't understand.

  5. Gonna try popcorn at Friday (movies) for the first time since lapband in may. Can I?

I would advise against it. Popcorn is one of those no-no foods because you can eat a ton of it and it is all carbs. Trust me, I had the gastric sleeve and I allowed myself to eat popcorn and I ate a whole large bag and was so ashamed.

We all stumble, so don't beat yourself up. So the good news is that now you know what to do to rectify it.

Check your carbs. They can really sneak up on you. Go back on your pre-op diet for a while. Some of it may be water weight but it's doubtful that all 10 lbs is water weight.
